Mark Steele Follow this Historic pipeline track down to the river and turn left to the stepping stones, then backtrack to the corner and take the steep climb back up and almost parallel to where you started. Well recommended.

Just 30 minutes north of the CBD, it’s ideal for birdwatching enthusiasts, nature-lovers and botanists, and is a great walk for kids. You’ll enter a forest of majestic blue gums and magnificent blackbutts that hark back to pre-colonial times with a lush understorey of ferns. Following the clearly signposted path, the kids will enjoy the self-guided series of interpretation signs. In the spring, the ground cover of native flowers, such as the blue flax lily and pastel flower, burst into a colourful display. Any time of year, you’ll hear the chatter of birds such as rainbow lorikeets, crimson rosellas and king parrots echoing through the bush

L Dickson (Diciniho) Had a great morning walk with friends on the Mueller Trak. Lots of nature with flora and fauna surprises every where. However did have to create our own alternate path because of a fallen tree on the actual path. Almost had an accident because of this. Wish they can regularly check that the path is in safe condition

Gavin Jones A lovely hidden treasure in arms reach of Sydney’s CBD, offer numerous tracks that are ideal for people looking for an easy to medium walking track. Whilst I’ve given the spot an overall score of 4 stars, parts of the walk are well worthy of 5 stars. It just has about of suburban elements in their like playgrounds, fences etc that take away the natural environment. Watch out for leeches along the trails, we needed to stop are remove leeches along the walk. Parking is eas.

Eric Lee Great place for exploring and bush walks with a few trails. There are trails that have asphalt surface suitable for wheelchair and bikes although does go downhill and back up. Also boardwalk trail taking you around the pond. The bushwalk trail (grade3?) takes a couple of hours taking you to the creek and a couple of waterfalls but watch for leeches. We had a couple of suckers on our shoes...luckily we noticed before they latched on.

Elisabeth Lindsey Perfect place for events and gatherings and hikes. The welcome center has cute botanical gifts for sale and a native plants nursery out back. Out front they have labelled plants in water showing you whats in bloom for the season. Lots of unique landscapes to explore and so much space for kids and hikes. The public restroom by the pavilion was tiled with hand painted native plants and I loved the details. (:

Daithí Kilcourse A very nice park with a lot of access points to lookouts, bike trails and hikes. There seems to be a lot of people on bikes here and with a lot of narrow hiking tracks it can be dangerous. Be aware of the bikes and they normally shout out on approach. Some tough and easy trails to do here. Amazing lookouts located in the park too. Some give you a view of the city. We will be back again.

Judy Xu The environment here is pristine, we took a route called French Creek, which is a bit dangerous, running through many small streams and cobblestone steps. Please do not come to this route on rainy days and hot summer days, because you will be tortured by leeches and wet moss. But if you like jungle adventures, I will recommend you this route without hesitation.

derek williamson A sweaty afternoon to a sweet little spot. We left home about 1 and made our way to the Douglas road end of the Cascades Fire Trail, for about a 2 pm start. It was dead easy to find and between the head of the trail, the road and the sports field there is plenty of free parking. We headed down the trail, it was an easy walk downhill, a reasonably steep grade but the track was smooth. Plenty of big shady trees overhead. The walk had lots of wild flowers and some cliff sides, but was unremarkable other than that. It was a warm humid November afternoon so apart from some loud Cicadas not much wildlife. The bush is well recovered from a fire a few seasons ago. The highlight is the lovely little waterhole in the creek at the actual cascade. There hadnt been significant recent rain so the two creeks were just trickling and the water was shallow with plenty of algae. But we had a dip and it was clean and cool. We saw a diamond python curled up on a warm rock, we didnt bother it and it didnt bother us. Like all snakes leave them alone and they will head off somewhere you arent. Such a gorgeous snake though, my first diamond. The walk out was uphill and pretty warm, I suggest reserving some water and having some waiting in the car. Also doesnt hurt to wet a shirt, rashie or towel to provide some relief. On a cooler day or one with more recent rain this little spot may have gotten a five star review. Our boys are 8 and 12 and made it easily and loved the swim and building a little dam on the creek. All up our walking was approx 1 hour and probably 1.5 - 2 hrs at the creek.

Mark Taylor We walked from Belrose/Frenches Forest to Roseville Bridge, some 14km along the upper reaches of Middle Harbour. The walking track is pretty rough in many places especially along the Governor Phillip track. It dips and rises over sandstone shelfs and boulders and is quite narrow. Scenery however is worth the walk with many native plants flowering during this Spring walk. A large Monitor Lizard was observed climbing a rock shelf as we walked along the waterside path. Plenty of views of the stream and waters of Middle Harbour.

Tracey Kisiel Fantastic playground lives here, Very busy on weekends and on the public holiday Monday. Lots of modern play equipment, The 2 big slides are only accessible from a 5 years and older climbing net or ladder. There was a coffee van on site with a continuous line of waiting customers, Lots of off street parking. Directly situated next to the Tree tops adventure courses. Great place to take the kids for a picnic, Table areas with some undercover areas within the fenced playground

HP White Went for the organic market at the Showgrounds and stopped here for a coffee. Split a prosciutto, Brie and pepper sandwich and a pastry. Lovely people running the place, very good food and good prices.

Ricardo Rosario Well kept with a great variety of kids entertainment equipment for all ages. Good water fountain. Close to coffee shops and dog par and tree top entertainment.

Shanahan Matthew (Matt) A lovely large new kids playground. There are slides, a flying fox, swings, carved animals, and more! The bush setting is peaceful and there is plenty of parking. The adults havent been forgotten, with seats, platforms and grassed areas to sit on. And for the adults who want to get a bit of exercise in, there is a big oval just next door. There is a new toilet block, which was clean and in good condition. However, one tip is to bring your own soap, because we didnt find soap dispensers. Highly recommended.

Shivanthan Balendra Very nice park with a variety of rides and walking trails. Conveniently located right off the motorway with parking spots right in front of the playground. Treetops is right next to the playground and is a highly recommended visit for those who come to this playground to make the most out of their trip. However make sure you prebook Treetops as they mostly run fully booked. The playground however had too many flies so make sure you apply insect spray before you go.

Simon Furber Park up in Douglas St and then about 100m walk to some flat rocks where you Lookout and see Chatwood and Sydney set against the backdrop of the national forest. Quite so.e unique view. Its worth stopping if youre in the area, the terrain isnt to challenging, and ita a short walk for a great view

Rob Pallot A great view of Chatswood and the city is abaliable from this lookout. You can also see out across the treetops here. Access is not suitable for all abilities, nor safe for children as there is no handrail at the lookout, and quite a drop. No toilet, bins or water taps.

Jaime Koukoutas Not really a lookout. More like a walk among some trees...... looks like a nice place but definitely wouldnt call it a lookout. Dont come here for a sunset as youll be wasting your time. Sunrise on the other hand seems like it would be nice. I searched for a sunset lookout drove all this way to find a street full of houses down 1 side, no allocated parking and no real indication of where i should be going? Definitely not worth the drive if your not local. For the locals go check it out seems OK........ wouldnt go out of my way though

Peter Johnston I visited the community hall for a public meeting. It was spacious and well maintained. The missing star is the sound system. The speakers were not clear because the sound system could have been better.

Anthony Simon Perfect for kids to play tennis (4 courts), along side 2 great ovals and skate park. We love going there and dropping into St Ives Shopping centre for a milkshake and lunch.

Big skate park, well used by kids and their parents. Toilets - not sure if there were some in the park, but across the parking lot there were some inside the shopping centre. Lots of parking. Highly recommend.

Briggs Jourdan Wondrous green grass nestled in the corner with a monument standing stall, this small garden amidst the bustle of Mona Vale Road is a nice secluded space to take a break and rest for a bit, especially if youre passing by on a bus or walking.
