christina marinovic I was absolutely devastated today when I found my hair looking like this. I got my hair cut on Saturday the 1st of February and asked for layers however for anyone with common sense, this is not layers. I only realised today as my hair had been curled on Saturday and so I had not noticed until I washed my hair. I was told my ‘layers’ would compliment the fact that my hair is pin straight and so I was looking forward to it as my previous haircut had also been crap. This is the choppiest haircut and it has completely ruined my hair. This cannot be fixed and for the $180 I spent, this is absolutely ridiculous. Update: I received a phone call from Tiffany who was absolutely lovely. She was very apologetic and overall very polite. She asked if I was able to come back in to get my hair fixed up by their manager Madison, free of charge and also arranged a refund for me. When I went back in I had Madison fix my haircut to the best of her abilities and she did an absolutely amazing job. She told me the best way to cut my specific hair type as well as cut my hair with a technique I have never seen done before. Although she couldn’t fix my hair completely, she made such a huge difference and made sure to make me aware of everything she was doing as she did it. Madison was just as lovely as Tiffany and they both were a huge help and I appreciated it so so much!! I will definitely be coming back to get my haircut my Madison!

Louise Hourd Attentive staff, clean, modern salon. Blow dry was ok. Unfortunately the blow dry dropped very quickly, it may have been the product or perhaps the fact my hair is thick. I do know as a rule my hair will hold a style for a week. Update 16/6 I had the pleasure of a complimentary blow dry offered to me by the Franck Provost Service team. My concerns were genuinely listened too and that was fine with me. When I received the offer to redo my blow dry I was delighted. The difference this time was I communicated better, the stylist listened and the whole experience and outcome was very different. Happy to say the blow dry lasted a week and will be happy to return to the Macquarie Centre Salon

grace demasi Showed my stylist what I wanted and she delivered perfectly! Would highly recommend coming here, after going to other salons in hornsby i think I’ll stick to this one. Only negative was trying to reach staff on the phone, I rung for 15 minutes straight trying to contact the store but no one picked up- but understandably they were quite busy. Other than that, 5 stars!

Sasami M I’ve been coming to this clinic for laser treatments for the past year, and overall, my experience has been alright. However, I’ve noticed some inconsistencies in the service standards between different therapists. Some of them seem to rush through the session, while others really take their time to ensure every spot is covered and check in with me regularly to make sure I’m comfortable and tolerating the treatment well. I believe it would be great if there was more consistency across the staff in terms of service quality. Additionally, I was a bit frustrated when I found out at the end of my last session that one of my prepaid treatments had already been used up, as I wasn’t informed beforehand. If I had known, I likely wouldn’t have proceeded with the session, as it wasn’t necessary for that particular area. Transparency around the remaining sessions would be appreciated to avoid any surprises. That said, my favourite therapist is Jess. She’s always thorough and attentive, and I truly appreciate her care during the treatments.

Sarah Ja I had 7-8 long treatments with Walla and two other therapists. They were very professional, respectful and skilful. Unfortunately, two weeks ago at 12:45 and also once last year, I had 2 very brief (less than one minute) sessions with a therapist who never introduced herself to me. The receipt was from Jess but I checked later and the receptionist said it was Sara. She was very disrespectful towards me and my body. First time I thought she was just having a bad day. Then it happened again and much worse. This lady will definitely benefit from a course on professional conduct and respect for clients’ dignity.

Bassem Aswad Ive tried several barbershops across Sydney and always encountered a problem: the barber was either good at haircuts but not at beard trimming, or vice versa. This is the only barbershop where they excel at both. The staff speak several languages, so communication is never an issue. Their service is truly excellent.

Saad Amjad Everything at this Barber shop is good until you meet the Asian Guy. Literally the guy tries to provide more suggestions rather than just focusing on the haircut they are asked for. Totally messed up my hair without any follow of instructions. Every other barber is humble and professional. Would recommend avoiding the Asian bloke for a well suited haircut.

Jenny Johnson I don’t often leave reviews but I had my hair coloured at this salon about two weeks ago and the result was nothing short of terrible . My blonde hair is now mousy brown except for the underneath of the back which was so stripped of colour that it has turned to straw. The natural colour at the back that was so healthy is now so dry and damaged, just a mass of knots. My only choice to fix this damage is to have about 10cm cut out and start again. I am devastated.

Jack Spence I have been going to Mens Grooming for 5 years now and I have to say I have never felt more comfortable at a barbers before. For the past 3 years I have been going to see Antonio and I think his personality and skills is what keeps me going back. Every time I walk in we have a good chat about football, work and what’s been going on in our lives however at the same time I don’t always feel like talking and he respects that. I have changed my haircut more times then I can remember but every time he’s willing to take my vision and make it look awesome and I appreciate that. All the staff at men’s grooming are really awesome and I appreciate the efforts they put in everyday.

Simply Uncle Ally I had a great experience at this barber shop last year, but my visit today, March 31, 2025, was disappointing. When I arrived, I was directed upstairs to another barber, as the experienced ones were occupied(one with the client and the other one just finished a client and was about to go break or to grab coffee I guess) I understand everyone deserves a break, but the barber I got was not up to the standard I expected.I don’t think he has any experience compared to those two gentlemen at the entrance door! Firstly he didn’t even follow my instructions despite of showing him a picture as sample of what I was looking for!, and was clear about the haircut I wanted . The barber seemed to sense my dissatisfaction, repeatedly asking if I was happy with the cut. Despite his efforts, I was quite upset with the result. I chose not to engage further out of respect and simply paid for the service. I still believe in the quality of the barbers at this shop and I hopefully this feedback will helps to improve the service in this beautiful barber shop at Macquarie centre.

Amir Sharifpour I recently moved to Sydney, and was on the hunt for a decent barber. The first two barbershops I tried were honestly disappointing and the fades were rushed and not up to standard. I was starting to lose hope until a friend recommended Kingscut Barbershop in Macquarie shopping centre. Nour, Ben, Mick, and Shack are absolute professionals. Each of them gave me the cleanest, most precise fade I’ve ever had and I was genuinely shocked by how skilled and consistent they are. They also treat every client with respect and make you feel welcome and valued from start to finish. As someone who came to Sydney alone, it meant a lot that they genuinely cared. Nour asked me if I needed help with anything and that kind of support and friendliness is rare, and it really made me feel welcomed and respected. Big thanks to the whole Kingscut team. I won’t be going anywhere else. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-quality fades and amazing service in sydney.

Gave me one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had, then rushed me out like I was wasting his time. When I asked him to fix the sides, he bluntly said others were waiting, clearly valuing quantity over quality. Zero professionalism, zero respect for customers. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience and walking out with a disaster on your head

Georgie Liseenco Went here for my 2.5 year old daughters hair cut. Before walking in, we confirmed that they do childrens haircuts (which are on the price board behind the counter) and they confirmed they do and asked us to come in / got the hair set up with a childs booster seat and childs mini mouse cape. The guy who did her haircut was fine (cut is crooked but thats not what my rating is about). When we went to pay, it was a different guy who took the payment of $45... $45 for a 2 year old!!! When we questioned it (and the fact that the board behind says $30), he was full of excuses. We dont do girl haircuts, that price ($30) is if we are only using scissors, its more expensive because she is a girl. Well which is it .... you either dont do girls haircuts OR you have a more expensive price for girls, it cant be both. Is it standard practice to let customers into your store for services you apparently dont offer AND then proceed to charge a different amount because of their gender ? How disgusting. PS - When posting this rating, one of the services you can select is childrens haircuts. Perhaps you should remove that or make it explicilty clear that you only provide services for males.

Drew Ski Parked up on top across from where the music shop used to be at 5:40, in a rush to get a hair cut went to the barber next to eb games and the barber down stairs next to smiggle and they would take anymore people, so I went to this barber shop and he would take me and it was 5:50 at this point and they supposed to close at 6 but the gentleman there Mohammad told me ofcourse I have time to cut your hair, the guy gave me a skin fade and took his time and was very patient in his work and he finished at 6:30, their customer service is spectacular, highly recommend.

Nafi Al-Hasan I have been getting haircuts from them ever since I moved to Sydney at the beginning of 2024. I have had haircuts from all of the staff working here. They all are very good hairstylist. However, I was most impressed by Milad. He customised the reference hairstyle according to my head shape and hair type, which at the end was a fantastic result. Initially I didn’t like the hairstyle as it was a first time experience for me. But I had gotten many compliments about my hairstyle afterwards. I went to him again for the same hair cut and hopefully I’ll be getting hair cuts from only him in future.

Ramtin Ranji I’m very picky when it comes to cutting my hair. Shahram is the most experienced and professional barber I’ve ever meet. Super fast and consistent quality. As I’m not using shared tools he is patiently use my own trimmer and scissors which of course harder to deal than professional grade tools, but he is experienced enough to deliver a high quality work anyway.

Atalea Yako Worst hair salon experience ever, went for a wash and blow dry for my shoulder length hair. I regularly get my hair blown out at least 3 times a week and I have never had a worse experience at a salon before. The asian hair dresser is so rude and yelled at me for asking her to brush my hair before blow drying it. She didn’t wash my hair properly, left soap suds in my hair and left me with so many knots then when I asked her to simple brush the hair out before blow drying she started getting so aggressive and yelled at me, she made me feel very uncomfortable. Charged me $50 and left me with frizzy half wet hair. Do not go to this salon! Never again will I be coming back to this unprofessional rude place. Very disappointed to say the least.

Mary Yamson 2/26/24 around 3:20pm, I asked for Style haircut, wash and style blow dry, there were two of them during that time, the one who did my hair was an older guy who’s wearing a black postman’s cap and leather jacket. While washing my hair, he was scrubbing my scalp so hard it was like he didn’t even want to do it! he only used shampoo and did not bothered to use conditioner on my hair, it was so dry!!! I clearly asked to cut 2 inches but he went over and cut 4-5 inch!!! I complained and he said my hair was too dry so he cut it all the way! He did not even blow dried my hair which was part of the service I paid for!!! I was so distressed so I stormed off and forgot to ask for a refund!! I’ll definetly go back but not for a haircut, I’ll file a formal complaint!

Nicole Woo I went to get a concave cut long bob. My hairdresser was an older man, I specifically asked for the length to be past the chin. He quickly glanced at the pictures I showed him and went off to do his own thing, when I put my glasses back on everything was a good 4 inches shorter than I wanted. My length at the front sits on my cheeks well above the chin and hed shaved so high (2 inches) into the back of my nape. Its like a bad 5 oclock shadow. I was crying as he tried to convince me it was the same as the picture, then said it was because the picture didnt show the back, then because I had a cowlick and refused to show me the back in the mirror again. He got frustrated and said "dont pay for it then" and walked off to his next customer. Easily the worst haircut Ive had. The lady hairdresser Neva was sympathetic and tried to tidy it up to make the stubble less obvious and said she never would have shaved it up into the neck like that, but the damage is done and over a year of growing my hair wasted. Will now have to go back every 2 weeks for a maintenance shave from Neva until my hair is long enough to cover the nape again.
