Jack Lee The only pedestrian overpass connects both sides of the road, and the school is located next to the overpass. There are lifts on both sides of the overpass for the convenience of pedestrians. The overpass is also the highest point on Carlingford Road, where you can overlook the surrounding scenery. Lesley Corrigal Im nowhere near Louie The Friendly Cat but, oh, jus love that name and would welcome him near me in Hobart if hes thinking of migrating... or a holiday?? This is Morris who took over the neighbours roof, my front garden, my doorstep, then eventually me and my house.
5 /5
Lube I was bit, I dont think that cat liked me because of my skin color (Im black)
1 /5
Cat Wiley This cat has no cares about the hordes of people, including hundreds of children, who are around constantly near the school. It ignores the cars driving around and just does its own thing. We love trying to find the cat each morning and afternoon at school drop off and pick up.
5 /5
Samuel Lee Exceptionally friendly and will always try to come up to you
5 /5
Yash Bass he’s so cuteeee he let me and my friends pet him

4.Ray Park

Address: 26X Plympton Rd, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Ray Park

(150) Reviews Ray Park:

Amanda Leschmann Its great for kids to ride their bikes as there is a path that loops right around the park and oval however I do feel the play equipment area needs some extra shade we usually go on a day thats not too hot or when you want to stay in the sun for a long period of time.
4 /5
Kelly T Lovely, quiet, local park containing Pioneer’s Track, a short, easy hiking trail through attached bush land
5 /5
Paul Sheather Another local park so much improved over the years. Plenty of play equipment for the kids and you can go exploring along the creek too, as its right there. No toilets though, so be aware of that.
4 /5
Damien Leung A nice local park to take the kids for abit of a bike ride or play on the equipment provide. A bonus is the large grass area for a small game of whatever sport you fancy. It could benefit with some lights though, because it does get VERY dark after sunlight.
4 /5
Sue Brown Lovely suburban park. Fantastic track around & through the park for bike and scooter riding. Good climbing equipment, swings etc. Natural shade provided by trees. Large expanse of grass for ball play/kite flying/ remote controlled cars. Community garden. On Pioneer Track walk.

5.Eric Mobbs Memorial Park

Address: 356 Marsden Rd, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Eric Mobbs Memorial Park

(40) Reviews Eric Mobbs Memorial Park:

Tony Ganner The view is gone! Theres like 4 or 5 trees that just 100% obstruct it now. Please maintain this area, as the only amazing view for miles is now just a piss-soaked rock in the shadows, and has been going that way for the last 3 years!
1 /5
Mark Robinson Pleasant Park but some litter in bushes. Nice start to the Ponds Walk. Powerful Owl sometimes seen.
4 /5
송나래 Go for a walk to this place often. Its nice and quiet, also able to enjoy bush walk that leads to a long bush walk trail if you want. It has been one of my favorite place over time as it gave me time to relax as I enjoy nice quiet walk.
5 /5
Hassan Miri Very beautiful, the walkway is extremely breathtaking but unfortunately it is short. Maybe less than 400 meter.
4 /5
Michael xx Great place. Well designed and plenty of parking. Needs a loo though.

6.Balaka Falls

Address: 4 Ferndale Ave, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Balaka Falls

(1025) Reviews Balaka Falls:

Anita Loto Easy parking, started our walk from Ferndale Ave and just walked every route from there on wards and back! Lovely peaceful walk not hard! Was our first time there! The waterfall I know was lil but loved it either way, would be nice if I came after a rainy day but nevertheless it was very nice!
4 /5
Sam “SS” This was breathtaking. You must visit after alot of rain to get the best experience. Best thing about this location is you dont need to walk far to find it, its about 1 minute walk from where I parked that was at the entrance. So if you just want to enjoy the waterfall without the hike this is definitely the place to visit.
5 /5
Mitchell Davies Nice natural bushwalking area with walks of varying lengths and types. Differs between just dirt track to proper concrete path. The falls are small but nice and seem to still have water running even when there hasnt been much rain. Good for taking the dogs on a day out! Note that there isnt a dedicated carpark (that Im aware of) so just find a nearby street and park there.
5 /5
Tanveer Ahmed Its a hidden gem at carlingford nsw. Its not so high, but after big rain fall, its a sight to see. Balaka Falls in Carlingford, NSW, is a serene natural cascade nestled within a bushland reserve. It offers a tranquil escape for locals, featuring walking tracks and a peaceful environment perfect for nature lovers and a quiet stroll.
4 /5
Fiona Plumb If you love nature and bush walking this is for you, Some parts are easy to walk while other parts are up or down hill or uneasy footpaths. But other than that the scenery is beautiful and it is best to go after a down pour of rain to see the potential of the falls and dip your toes in to feel the crisp water.

7.Kilpack Park

Address: 28 Darwin St, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Kilpack Park

(67) Reviews Kilpack Park:

Maryam Waheed Was a good park a little bit small but ok
3 /5
Zmbgm C Poorly maintained park, council seems neglectful of basic maintenance. Broken bench noted for 3 months... just stuck tape over it. Parramatta council, how about some action ?
2 /5
Afaf Waris A very little hidden gem for kids in shades of trees. Easy to access by walk from Carlingford Road.
4 /5
Fahd Rasul Its a nice little park ideal for birthdays as it offers a bit more privacy due to its hidden location and fence around it. Also it is well maintained by the council. Very clean and people take good care is cleaning themselves up after parties. Only downside are the pets as pet owners dont clean after their pets have taken care of their business which is irritating.
5 /5
Percy When you walk in this park, you feel like the park has been ignored by Council. Broken fence, untreated lawn, plants growing wild, foot path damaged. Basically it is poorly maintained.

8.North Rocks Park

Address: Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges North Rocks Park

(201) Reviews North Rocks Park:

Ana Brandao Beautiful park with tall trees and fresh air. Excellent for my daily exercise and relaxation.
4 /5
Jan Ruardy This park is getting a bit older and tired but still very functional and a favourite with all my boys.
4 /5
lee Brodie (GMrF) North Rocks Park offers a pleasant outdoor space, ideal for quick games of soccer or cricket, with a generally good field that allows the ball to move smoothly. Theres ample seating, making it perfect for picnics or a day of outdoor activities. The park provides a nice setting for recreational fun.
4 /5
Tirth Amin The field is nice, has some patchy spots but its quick and the ball runs. Has plenty of seating as well for picnics or spending the day playing cricket. Theres a few passive aggressive local runners who might kick youre gear out of the way and give you a few weird looks.
2 /5
Yubo Zhuo Very good park. One of my first parks in Australia. Clean Bathroom, Tennis Court, New Basketball Court, Large Playground. Good walking track scooter too.
5 /5

laurenne angel Just passed by this area as I was walking noticing several car parking spaces and the monument. Nice view and place to take some short rest. Lies along the highway.
4 /5
Ryan Drummond Nice place to pay respect overlooking western Sydney
5 /5
J V Surprising find in Carlingford! Ties in well with World War 2 naval history. I also note the name Thetis - a British submarine that sank during diving trials in Liverpool England. A must-visit for anyone interested in World War 2 naval history.
5 /5
Harita Mehta Its ok place... The water of the pond is not clean.
3 /5
Mel K Historic landmark with excellent views across valley to Sydney city and surrounds.
5 /5

10.Fred Spurway Park

Address: Mobbs Ln, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Fred Spurway Park

(77) Reviews Fred Spurway Park:

Natalie Molluso Nice open space, great for exercising ... just wish the council would spray for bindis in Spring literally the entire area is covered cant even walk the dog through
5 /5
Megan Lampa Beautiful park with a lot of open space. There are a few bindis and the tap doesnt work. Also no toilets. It does, however, connect to the Terry Creek Walk.
4 /5
Trisco Lee A little gem of a court Wish the netball ring was also a basketball hoop but a nice concrete court with a hoop and net. No toilet and the water tap was broken so bring your own water!
4 /5
Roman R I’ve been many times but still not closer to finding out who Fred Spurway is. Was park land taken away from him? Donated by him? Or did he die in that park? This park is a reminder that when you die you will be completely forgotten in just a few years. And even if a park is named after yourself— nobody cares, your name has no meaning to anyone.
4 /5
Johnny Woo Big area of grass. Perfect for picnic, playing games or walk the dog. Also has a basketball area with drinking water facility.
5 /5

11.Peggy Womersley Reserve

Address: 98 Felton Rd, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Peggy Womersley Reserve

(76) Reviews Peggy Womersley Reserve:

Ashish Rajput Nothing wow its just like every other park out there. Features a single sports field with athletics facilities and is best suited for small sporting events. Often used for Rugby Union in the Winter and Little Athletics in summer.
3 /5
Rock Roll A nice field, kids playing soccer and rugby, running, jumping here, very energetic, and families can also have a walk, play with pets in the twilight. it would be great if there is a shelter, especially in the summer.
4 /5
Sneha Cherian Beautiful park along Kingsdene oval. One of the best locations in Carlingford. Excellent place for Spring picnics.
5 /5
Kerim Caglar Nice playground and long jump pit, and the grounds are well maintained.
5 /5
Gee Nice quiet little park. Plenty of space to run around. Seating for sittervising.
4 /5

12.Dunrossil Park

Address: 33 Dunrossil Ave, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Dunrossil Park

(120) Reviews Dunrossil Park:

Phani Ravinuthala Good play area for young kids, tennis and netball courts. Tennis courts are redeveoped and have to be booked before using.
5 /5
Sandy Chou An update on the review. The park has two big over head sails now. Make it a sun smart park. And we really like the new additions. This is our local park, its lovely. Has a big green area for kids to kick ball, play frisbee, or just run around. My sons love it but we can only go there to play in winter, autumn and early spring because there is no shade or sail above the play area. The whole play area is in the direct sun during summer, which makes it unable to play.
5 /5
Colin McFarlane Nice secluded park, play equipment in very good condition. Shade sails covering equipment. Two bench seats provided, one shaded, one exposed, one covered picnic table. Play equipment more suited for age 3+. Tennis/netball courts fully exposed to sun. There is a large grassed area but appears to be a flood zone so there are many drains about. There is a garden tap beside the tennis court gate. No toilets, little to no parking, closest road access is by Dunrossil, street parking is limited being residential, also blocked by a bus stop and no stopping signs. The park is not fenced and is approximately 30m from the road with a footpath from the road to the park and courts.
3 /5
LimousineLine Bookings A better than average local park. Lots of room for Kids to run around. Lots of challenging park toys for them (and adults) to have fun on. The tennis court is rarely used, so bring your racquets along for a free hit
5 /5
Shivanthan Balendra Nice little park. Right next to basketball and tennis courts that you can book through the council website. The playground is quite small despite located on a larger land area. Good for 15 mins playtime.
4 /5

Imges Pinetree Park

(11) Reviews Pinetree Park:

Dianne Weekley Beautiful but no amenities
4 /5
Casey Keung Very nice and comfortable park, minimal shade during the daytime but the shade is just perfect during the mid afternoons around 5-6pm. The playground itself is quite small so dont expect large equipment, but its still a suitable size for children and parents can enjoy the sunshine on the park benches close by.
5 /5
Geoff King Ok
2 /5
Nigel Duke Looks good

14.Galaringi

Address: 356 Marsden Rd, Carlingford NSW 2118

Imges Galaringi

(9) Reviews Galaringi:

SquadalaGuy Almost died taking the alternate path thats blocked. Its possible to get to the end, but good luck trying. Youll need to manoeuvre through huge fallen trees, make sure you dont run into webs, traverse through mud, break through sharp pointy stick bushes and DONT GET LOST. God help you if you do so. Took this photo though. Very pretty but sad to see. Wish the alternate path was refurbished, definitely needs to be improved. Otherwise, its a relic lost to time.
1 /5
Dianne Turner Needs some work to rebuild the pathways but enjoy the bush walks
5 /5
Alexander Ishac Nice forest at the top of The Ponds Walk which takes you down to Rydalmere via Dundas. Great trail.
5 /5
Greg Seward Had a great time with family, travelled and saw heaps. Is definitely a must do.
5 /5
Michael Cantor Nice park
