I tried most of the places in Westfield and some in Turramurra and even Chatswood but always feel disappointed afterwards, not feeling the want to return. My experience with Lana is different - she is excellent (didn’t feel a thing during lash lift), precise (didn’t hurt any of my lashes which happened a few times with different salons), and is very amiable. Kathryn Edwards My daughter asked for a light tint on her brows. She’s naturally blonde, so specifically asked for a light colour and was nervous as this was her first time. The tint was applied with the lady’s fingers and she was told it needed to be removed after 5 minutes. It was left on longer while she did someone else. She expressed concern at the very dark colour and felt dismissed. I was shocked when I saw them. We went elsewhere to try to get more of the dye removed. A terrible experience.

They give great analysis & advice, and have excellent products in-store to go along with it. Going here regularly and following the routine they gave me has given me steady results I’m really happy with. Always leave feeling super relaxed and mellow as an added bonus too.

Priya Subbu I had an extremely disappointing experience at Ruby Room Hornsby. From the moment I arrived, the staff were rude and unwelcoming. My consultant, Riley, was unfriendly and showed no interest in making me feel comfortable. Worse, she openly discussed my skin concerns in the reception area, which was completely unprofessional and a violation of my privacy. The facial itself was underwhelming—I didn’t feel relaxed at all, and Riley seemed disinterested throughout. Ive had facials in Mecca and the consultants there explain and discuss each product they use and they also thoroughly examine my skin before suggesting a treatment. To top it off, I was charged $140 (only reason I booked was they sent me a $25birthday voucher)without being given any post-care instructions. Instead, I received a message much later,( at 1:49pm) long after my appointment had ended. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience here. I previously had a waxing service with Jane, and she was also very unfriendly!. It’s clear that customer service is not a priority at Ruby Room Overall, this was one of the worst facial experiences I’ve had. I wouldn’t recommend Ruby Room to anyone looking for professional, respectful and most important of all FRIENDLY service. You go to have a beauty treatment done to relax!

Jemma took such great care of me from start to finish, beginning with a peel that left my skin feeling instantly refreshed. The LED light treatment was soothing, and it really felt like it was working deep beneath the surface. The sheet mask was pure luxury, but the highlight for me was the massage—absolutely amazing! It was so relaxing, I could feel the tension just melt away. After the treatment, my skin was glowing like never before—it honestly felt as soft as baby skin! My friends and family couldn’t stop commenting on how radiant I looked. The products Jemma used were of such high quality, and I could tell that Ruby Room only uses the best. Roshni Jenisha I randomly went to this shop at Hornsby for eyebrow threading and lamination. It was a worst experience to be here as I wasted my time and money. It took more than an hour for the service still it was okay and also the pricing was bit expensive, but the service was really really worse cause the lamination doesnt look like tinted or laminated it just looks like a normal threading very very disappointing. Even my threading was being ruin and it’s too annoying cause I didn’t do it for 2 months to grow my brows. Really sad with service.

Don’t get an eyebrow tint here, my eyebrows are light brown and she turned them black even after I told her I strongly dislike darker eyebrows and prefer something natural. After she put tint into my hair I was trying to move it off my face and she started making fun of me brushing my hair in a different language to her coworker?? will not be returning.

Got my nails done at my local area the day before and I just completely hated the colour so I decided to go to Evaline beauty to get them redone and since I was around the area. Receptionist was amazing and so friendly, I even think she looks like Michelle Phan. She managed to book me in and even gave suggestions on what colour and gem suited from the design I chose (wish I asked for her name) thank you for also offering tea or water. Philip done my nails and did an amazing job. Wish I lived closer to Evaline beauty, would have definitely been my go to nail salon if I lived closer but will definitely come back here and there and might also visit the Liverpool salon!

Paniz Eftekharian I’ve been Evaline’s beauty costumer from November 2023 - May 2023, with couple of research from my other friends I used yo always book Shellac sets + Gel/ Infill + Gel for my nails, however the outcome of the nails didn’t look as neat and natural looking like a gelpolish, after couple of times going there I’ve noticed when the regrowths were getting removed I could see a quite deep line of where the past application was due to the fact they’ve probably been harsh with the machine on removing the cuticles, when I decided to remove my last set with a different and more professional place they’ve asked about how I used to get my nails done and what type of appointment and application I would’ve got, and after a bit of chat she informed me that this whole time Evaline Beauty used to apply acrylic nails under the name of Shellac + Gel, which as a result made my natural nails so weak and thin with lots of other damage on them. However my nail tech in their salon was very nice to me, one of the things I’ve found disrespectful towards the costumer was how all the technicians kept on talking in Vietnamese in front of the costumer, to be honest as a costumer makes you feel like you are being judged. Moral of the story, if you’re going there for getting an Acrylic set with design and everything, this place is pretty good with a reasonable price, but I personally will never go there again.

Natalie I havent had my lashes done for a couple years due to bad experience at another beauty salon i went to. I thought Ill try again and get them done at allure and crystal is hands down the best lash technician the lashes last so long and dont constantly fall out still look amazing at 2 weeks.

Sallyk I had the worst gel infills done here a day before NYE!! I had gel extensions two weeks prior. The extensions were so thick, also there were blobs of glue stuck under some of my nails. The technician was rushing and didnt take any care. I decided not to say anything as they were very busy, but thought when I return for my infills these can be fixed. Whilst my infills were being done I asked for my nails to be a bit shorter. She clearly didnt understand and cut my nails right back to nothing. Then filed the sides of my nails so much that it burnt the skin and left it red and sensitive. Eventually I was left with ugly thick stumpy fingernails!!!!! After complaining they did offer to fix it but I had to get back to work. The next day the skin around some nails were bleeding and very sensitive. A lesson for me, I wasnt watching everything she was doing, a big mistake on my part!

Sarah Ryan Having no eyebrows (only a 90s plucked micro thin line) I booked an appointment for Microblading. Knowing I was anxious Anna was so patient and lovely. She spent a long time designing my new brows and gave me plenty of time to agree with styling. I was very nervous and in the end could not commit to something so permanent. I did not proceed with the job. Anna was so gracious and fully refunded my deposit. Amazing customer service and client care. Thank you Anna.

Ashleigh Regan Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with Anna. I asked her to microblade my eyebrows with a flatter shape eyebrow but she kept arguing with me that I should do an arched shape. She drew the shape on my eyebrows and it was too arched so I asked it to be re-drawn. She argued this but then she re-drew it. Again, it was too arched for my liking so I asked again to change it. This time she changed it to flat but a bit asymmetrical. I felt awkward asking her to change it again so I just proceeded, assuming that they would fade in a few months time. I think she may have been angry at me for asking her to change it so many times or she was running late so she didnt put any numbing cream on the eyebrows. It hurt so much and I bled everywhere and tears were constantly streaming down my face. This was my first microblading session so I assumed that numbing cream wasnt used but everyone else Ive asked who got it done got numbing cream. I could literally feel the fibers of my skin being cut individually. After looking at my eyebrows I started crying because they were so thick, dark and uneven. I have red hair and she did my eyebrows in an ashy brown which is against colour theory. I never went back to the touch-up appointment because it was just too painful. Anyways, several years later, they havent faded and now they are turning green. I went to a laser technician to get them lasered off and 4 sessions and $2000 later, they are permanently there and yellow. The laser technician believes that the colour was likely deposited too deep due to improper technique so they laser cannot reach it.

Lynelle Such an amazing service, they were so thoughtful and amazing at what they do. The blowdry was stunning and the products she used were very high quality and smelt lovely. They were so kind to finish overtime and the hair was absolutely beautiful, her curling was perfect and she was very professional , very happy about it and recommending to my family and friends.

I would hate to think of all the people thay pay full price which is $119. The treatment felt very rushed, and not relaxing at all. The lady wore plastic gloves which was weird, she did ask me if i mind which i said i would prefer her not to but she did anyway. I usually go here to buy products and eyebrow wax but i wont return after this massage.

Leah Dal Bianco Unfortunately I have to remove my 5 star review, Be careful getting a cut here, the lady who cut my hair chopped so much off, and it was so poorly cut, it was like fluff had been created at the ends of my hair. It was so uneven and short and the way it had been shed is causing the hair to knot very frequently. So disappointing especially when they charge $380 for treatment and cut. I won’t be returning. Poor results after such an expensive treatment, this is after 1 wash with specific sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, the frizz is too much for such an expensive treatment. This is my 3rd treatment so I am aware of aftercare. This is a result of the terrible haircut. I reached out to the business with no resolution as of yet, this is why I am leaving this honest review here. ______________ I came in for the nano keratin treatment, I have extremely curly, thick and frizzy hair. I couldn’t be happier with the results! My hair is so nourished and silky smooth. Such a professional and pleasant experience, reasonably priced and they are very kind and gentle. Thank you so much for my treatment, I’ll definitely be back!

A S After going through a nanoplasty hair treatment, my hair is still bendy and frizzy after the first hair wash. The parlour offered complementary hair spa, which managed the frizz only up to another hair wash and its back to frizzy and bendy. They suggested doing hair mask treatment (at home) around 2 times a week to control frizz. But they were the ones who suggested nanoplasty treatment so that my hair would be healthy looking and would do at least 70% straightening(earlier I had Keratin treatment and jad amazing lasting results every time) So if you have to use hair mask treatment twice a week, then what was the point of doing such Expensive Treatment at all.

Online Mom Have been going to this salon for my nails for almost a year and am very happy with their service- friendly, clean, efficient and they do an excellent job. Previous salon: I switched from another salon in Hornsby where I was a patron for 11 years because every time I made an appointment I was kept waiting for ages (often upto half an hour). Pearl Nails is excellent and they honour appointment times. I highly recommend this salon.

Emma Macukiewicz I went in for a pedicure, with shellac on my feet and hands the service was good however after 2 days one of the nails just completely pealed away and another one chipped. I went in today just to ask them to fix the one nail and the staff member that dealt with me was lovely, she redid all of my nails for me at no extra cost (even though I didn’t ask her to) I offered to pay a small fee towards it being as she redid them all but she said not to worry about it. I came in with my young baby too and she made sure she dealt with me quickly so my baby wasn’t waiting and fussing for too long. Due to how attentive and helpful they were I will definitely be coming back. Thank you :)
