A B A great walking track accessible via mowbray avian crescent. The entrance is from Mowbray road thought there is no parking and to park a car, you must either park on avian crescent or in the parking lot for the lane cove rowing club. Either way will be a long and inconvenient walk but it is nice to walk on this path.

N P You would never know that your 10 minutes from the Sydney CBD! Pure tranquility. Mowbray Park is only 10 minutes from the CBD, located in the Lower North Shore in Sydney. Mowbray Park is a magnificent place to visit. After an unfortunate arson attack which destroyed a significant amount of native bush and wonderful walking tracks by bushfires, Willoughby Council rebuilt the raised wooden paths (which allows access to many areas prone to the Lane Cove Rivers tidal flow and marsh lands) that allow you to see wonderful mangroves, waterfalls, spectacular sandstone formations, they also added wonderful carvings and beautifull benches from natural wood fom felled trees (from the fires) where you can sit back and take in the beauty. On occasions I have met people abseiling or taking classes, because they say "the nearest other locations are either too crowded or hours away. Come down one day, keep to the tracks (please for natures sake), take out what you bring in, but most importantly, find a nice spot, listen to the sounds and ask yourself "where would I have to go, how many hours of travelling would I need to do to experience this?" Enjoy.

Michael Green Great walking track along the river. Some waterfalls appear after heavy rain.

Eamon F Easy parking to attend the athletics field, or head off on the river walk. The walk can also be turned into a loop between the two bridges - about 5 to 6 kilometres total distance taking you along parts of the Great North Walk and through Fairyland as well.

Trish Scurfield An exemplary business; Michael responds to enquiries and schedules the service with amazing efficiency. Patios, pathways and a driveway cleaned and as others have suggested the transformation is literally like night and day; even on an overcast day everything looked so bright! Michael takes great pride and pleasure in his work, a big recommend to a lovely person.

kavita Gupta Ah I love this park. Easy to park next too. The eucalyptus trees leave the whole area smelling calming. There are off leash dogs but they seem to be ok with staying in the grassy place with the park not the kiddy play part

Leah Taylor For us Lane Cove locals we are blessed to have bush corridors like Stringybark Creek Reserve to explore. Absolutely beautiful, serene and magical! Highly recommend a visit for locals and visitors alike!

Cigdem Kipel Excellent off leash dog park but after its rained there is a giant mud puddle that forms and if you gave a golden retriever like I do, theyll swim in it!

Kylie Sherwood Great little short bush walking track for those families with young kids. Backs onto the open playground suitable for dogs too.

3.Tantallon Oval

Address: Tantallon Rd & Epping Road, Lane Cove North NSW 2066

Imges Tantallon Oval

(133) Reviews Tantallon Oval:

Brett Baxendale Tucked off the side of Epping road at the intersection of Tantallon road, this is some much needed open space in a rapidly growing local area. Local Rugby club puts on great hospitality for visitors and players to the oval, which is well manicured and equipped. This spot has nurtured some famous sporting identities and future up and coming. Only negative is the lack of parking, council havent catered for any off street facility and mobility parking for less abled is absent. TIP - arrive early if you have a team sport fixture to attend to, as you may have to find a car park in an adjacent street.

Ankush Gokarn Good cricket infrastructure. Big issue is there is no signage to the parking entry on Epping road. Google takes to the backside of the ground instead of the main parking lot. Need improved road signage

Damian Kay Great sporting facility. Clubs rooms not really used to their full potential but great venue

Jason Seebaluck Safe place to bring your dog or puppy. Although you are not allowed during times of sport which is more than reasonable. (Tends to be Saturday/Sunday)

Matthias Schreck Fairly small Park with the basic swings, a slide and a couple of other pieces. Good for the neighbourhood, but not worth traveling to.

N P Great park. Very much enjoyed by the locals. Good facilities and enough room to have a good run around.
4 /5
Jill Sueoka Great park for younger kids and older kids if they just need open space to run around. Bubbler, swings, slides, and a climbing contraption/plane to play on. No toilets and could use a little more shade, otherwise great!

Natalie Costa Bir Very nice little park with play equipment (swings, slide, one rusty ride-on, and a sandpit) and a single bbq. No toilets or fence / gate. Lots of grass and shade although play equipment doesnt have a sailcloth so in summer there isnt that much protection. Its a peaceful park as the road ends in a cul de sac. The park isnt fenced but there is not much traffic. The local residents have donated lots of toys like ride-on cars and sandpit spades and diggers so toddlers will enjoy themselves. The sandpit ends up with lots of leaf matter etc in it. There are loads of birds and lizards and the occasional brush turkey.
