Amit Walia I saw improvements in staffing and cleanliness inside the venue. Its a big improvement just need little refinement on food items. Need to have some real cafe style food. There is no shortage of foot fall.

Jessica McCarthy Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club NOT FOR “a place at the heart of the community for all to enjoy". I recently booked two tickets for the Kids Pizza Cooking Class during the October 2025 school holidays at Ryde Eastwood Leagues. The club’s policy around membership was frustrating and poorly thought out. The booking page does mention that non-members must pay $5 to join the club in order to attend, but that doesn’t make the policy any more reasonable—especially for short, child-focused events. What’s worse is that the booking page explicitly asks parents to accompany their child, yet still forces them to sign in as members. That contradiction makes no sense. To top it off, the entry ticket is $15 for a small pizza—barely the size of a standard chopstick (about 23 cm) or a small hand. Charging $15 for something that size, and then requiring every non-member adult or child to pay an additional $5 for membership, feels like a greedy and unreasonable practice. Based on my conversations with other families today, I’m not alone—several parents also expressed frustration with this policy. My friend, who lives in Yagoona and isn’t local, was expected to pay for a membership just to accompany her son for a one-hour class. What for? She doesn’t live in the area and has no intention of using the venue beyond that hour I’m already a member and offered to sign her in as my guest, but the manager refused and said she didn’t need to be on the premises if she didn’t want to become a member. That response felt dismissive and completely missed the point. In the end, she waited in the carpark while I supervised her child inside—a workaround that felt unnecessary and awkward, all because of a rigid policy that doesn’t reflect genuine hospitality. It’s especially disappointing given that Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club promotes itself as “a place at the heart of the community for all to enjoy.” This kind of exclusionary, revenue-driven approach does not reflect that mission. ⚠️ Warning for families: DO NOT book any school holiday program at Ryde Eastwood Leagues if you are not a member. There are plenty of other programs out there that are free or reasonably priced—and far more welcoming. Please don’t feel pressured to pay or participate in practices that lack transparency and common sense.
