1 /5 Gina W: Finding it difficult to enjoy my experience as a member here, when it’s evident that the facilities and equipment are maintained at a low standard.
I know a lot of these have been resolved over time, throughout my time here, but I have had conversations with other members in the gym about either the sauna, massage chairs, dry recovery equipment broken or missing, hot yoga room, reformer beds, air conditioning, water stations being out of order at some point of extended time. This has caused frustration time after time.
It also seems as though the entire gym, but especially the wet recovery area, bathroom, and shower facilities are not kept to a hygienic standard.. the continuous unkept state around the gym are concerning and I don’t want to think about how minimal the maintenance level probably is.
I was previously told that the gym staff hadn’t bothered to use proper solution in the spray bottles used to wipe down reformer machines, so everyone had been wiping down their reformer beds with just plain water in the spray bottles. Could you please consider something more effective like a wet wipe station? A lot of members tend to share mutual feedback around these issues with hygiene and maintenance being the main point of frustration.
This leads me to having an impression that if this gym can take a short cut or somehow cut costs, it won’t spare the opportunity to do so. It’s a shame because the gym is an impressive space and well equipped, however it is ‘cheapened’ by what seems to be either negligence or lack of management’s investment and resource.
It would be great to see additional effort invested into the operational and facility management side, for a gym where we pay a membership fee price for what you’d pay for a more prestigious gym, but really have been lacking this experience.
Lastly, I’m sorry, but, does anyone enjoy the music played on the bathroom and recovery facilities? Because I think we’ve been listening to 5 songs on loops for the past few years.
