Opal Minded is a place where you will find high quality stunning opals highlighted by the perfect taste of Renata the designer and personally mined by the expert hands of her husband. A warm thank you to them for bringing the miracle of nature to our eyes. I also enjoyed the patience and professionalism of Kamilla during my several visits to the shop prior to taking my purchase decision. This family business is definitely worth the visit.

5 /5 Robin Womack: We were on an Australian/New Zealand cruise last March and stopped into Opal Minded, Nelly was so incredibly helpful in finding the perfect opal necklace for me. She was also able to get me a piece of natural opal from one of their mines which I brought home and had it set into a beautiful pendant. I absolutely love my pieces from Opal Minded!!! Would highly recommend this jewelry store.

5 /5 Meghan Geary: My family and I were on our “once in a lifetime” Australian adventure in June and I researched all of the “must haves” of unique things to bring home in memory of our time in Australia…and a piece of opal jewelry was at the top of my list. I read many reviews in anticipation of our trip and mostly settled on opal minded based on reviews and the large selection on their website…even still, buying this magnitude of jewelry halfway around the world I knew I would want to see the shop itself and make sure it all seemed reputable. On our last day in Sydney we stopped in opal minded and it was immediately obvious this was not only a reputable place for opals, but a shop that really cared about the product they were sending into the world. I loved that they have their own mine and many of the opals are from there. I selected a beautiful turquoise color boulder opal necklace from their mine, which just felt extra special, and have worn it almost everyday since. My only advice to future customers is to give yourself plenty of time at the store to go through the process of deciding what type of opal you want and then the many color choices…I thought I had done some research before our trip on what type of opal I might want, but I truly had no idea and was so thankful to have expert advice and explanation of the difference between the many options…we arrived shortly after they opened in the morning, with our flight home later that evening and I thought maybe an hour was plenty of time but I should have allowed more time because the choices were overwhelming (in the best way possible) and while I absolutely love my necklace I felt like I rushed myself to pick it and then finalize the proper papers (which is another reason why you should shop with opal minded) it ended up taking close to 2hrs, and that was with me feeling rushed (by myself and our own lack of time). I had wanted to maybe get our daughter (7 years old) a very small pendant necklace to have for when she is older to remember the trip but by the time we started looking at those choices I realized the time and we needed to just get my necklace settled so I was sad that our own timeline made that not possible. We have told everyone we thought this trip was once in a lifetime but we loved australia so much, especially sydney, and hope to come back someday. Do not hesitate to shop with opal minded!
