Nicky Purser I had the most amazing experience with Casey (makeup artist) and Amber (hair artist) for my wedding! We had myself (bride), 5 bridesmaids, my mother and sister in law to get ready. From start to finish, the experience was amazing. We all wanted natural looks with a warm glow and stand-out eyes. It was also really important to me that my freckles showed through - they are part of me. Casey listened to everything that I wanted, was cheerful, confident and extremely skilled. I felt completely beautiful by the end, and I know my girls felt the same. 5/5 stars - for a bride that wants a professional who knows how to make you look like your best you!

Cassie F I had a wedding out that way and wanted to get my makeup done. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking getting your makeup done by someone new and not knowing how it’s going to turn out, but I’m so glad I found Peninsula Makeup Artistry. I ended up paying extra to have my hair done as well, and Casey did a fantastic job! Usually my hair doesn’t last the night and fake lashes make my eyes feel uncomfortable, but I honestly looked better than expected—and everything lasted all day and night, which I really didn’t expect. I would actually travel just to have Casey do my hair and makeup again. She was that good. I almost didn’t want to write this review so she doesn’t get booked out in the future! Thanks so much Casey, I’ll definitely be back.

Jenny Morris It was such a joy to have Casey do my wedding make-up! She is so relaxed and kind and made all of the bridesmaids, mums and me look and feel amazing! The make-up was boat proof, wind proof and dance proof and didn’t shift all night! I’ve loved looking through all of my wedding photos because I really felt my best! Can’t thank her enough!

Abbey Moresco I’ve had Milli do my hair a few times now and she really never disappoints, I truly trust her to do anything with my hair. This salon has the most relaxing and comfortable feel to it. All the staff have always been so lovely, both in person and over message. As well as that, the way they all interact with one another too is so respectful and really refreshing. You can tell they all love working with eachother, and love what they do! Highly highly recommend xx

Kassie Boorer I was so lucky to have Milli do my hair, she was so kind, gentle and knew exactly what I wanted and how to achieve it. The salon was well kept clean and everyone there was so lovely, which gave me peace and allowed me to relax and have a wonderful conversation with everyone who worked there. Julie Crommelinck I found the booking process overwhelming it was hard to find a simple wash cut blow wave amongst a douzaine of other services. I booked the wrong thing and thankfully, the person that cut my hair was ok to change for the correct one and took more time with me which is the only reason I didn’t rate this place as terrible. No smile or welcoming from any of the staff. The hairdresser that cut my hair barely asked my any questions or made sure what I wanted and I end up with a much much shorter haircut and I had to complain I was looking like my grandmother to get her to try to fix it. She didn’t.

Chelsea Murat Athena from Allure salon and spa is incredible! She nails my hair every single time, she listens and delivers amazing results, I 1000% recommend her if you are looking for someone to do your hair.

GEETA NAYAL Sorry i am writing this but I am very much disappointed with my hair color balayge which I did today. My hair are looking like i have not done anything to my hair, its similar to my old hair color. I specifically asked Athena that I am looking for a new look but i didnt see any changes . When I asked her to fix it because it was not what I expected, there is no color in my fronts, then she denied and said she is having another appointment and I have to book another appointment and i need to pay again for it. I never see this type of business anywhere. I am literally not happy with my hair color. Paid 354 dollars for nothing. I even didnt get my student discount because she was not clear with their paying system at store she said this computer is new to her. I showed her my booked package on my email but she was not interested in seeing my email. In my email it is clearly mentioned that student and old women age of 55 and 65 will get 10% discount. But she was not clear with it and said its already applied on the package which i took, but howcome, they know i am student while booking my appointment. They Wasted my time as well as money. Not worth at all. I will be attaching pics.

Meg Kerr So far, I’ve only tried one set  and I LOVED them. They were only on for a week and a half because one was lifting, but I honestly think it was a preparation/application issue, because ALL of the others were still adhering brilliantly. I loved the colour (Turquoise Dream) and I loved the quality, value and their level of hardness after curing.  I have very weak nails and LA-BEK are super. I wish you the very best of luck. Rebecca McPhee Loving these semi-gel nails. My nails had just started to repair and grow from salon nails when I started using these. Still getting the hang of putting them on but they last til I want to change colour!

Donna Saxby This is my first time using a product like this and I found them very easy to use. They look great even though a couple were a little crooked but that’s only noticeable because they were French tips. In hindsight for my first attempt, I should’ve got a plain colour. The photos of the nails are after they’ve been on for two weeks and I’m just about to remove them. They were quite easy to remove Using the orange stick supplied and the cuticle oil pen. I’m pleased with the condition of my nails after they’ve been removed, And I’ll leave it a few days before I put on another set. The last photo is my nails without La-Beks on them

Norliza Pavlakos This experience was truly awful. The technician cut my skin with the drill and even made an inappropriate joke about whether I had been cut as a child when I was 9 or 10. To top it off, they offered a 50% discount for a subpar job and horrendous customer service. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. The following day, I reached out to the owner after my nail became infected. We spoke, and he essentially brushed off the situation, claiming I was overreacting. They charged me $25 for an infected nail. I asked him about the comments made by his staff regarding me being cut as a child, and he dismissed it, claiming I misunderstood. His staff then blamed me for supposedly moving my finger, even though I never did. She later admitted she was the one who cut my hand. This is by far the most unethical business I’ve encountered. The owner refused to take responsibility or cover any medical expenses for the damage caused. This is an awful business.. Who would have imagined you could get an infection by going to a nail salon in Mornington? I certainly didn’t.

asianburnout Relatively happy with my SNS. They did a quick job which isn’t always a good job, but there were no lumps and bumps. Still a mess left under the nails and when I asked if they could clean it up, they said I should do it at home as they were getting busier. I should mention they started to chip two days after getting them as well.

Phoebe Richmond nails were done nicely but i got charged $68.50 for coloured french tips! i already know nails should not be that much for what i got done. on there website it says $50 for SNS nails so i got that and i asked for a small love heart on one of the nails, i wouldn’t mind paying $3 extra but 18.50 more for a love heart? horrible

Grace Marr Honestly so disappointed with the service. I spent $110 on a pedicure and acrylic nails with shellac on my fingers. The lady rushed my nails so much and did a complete different shape than the photo I asked for, the nails were also not at my cuticles they looked like they had 2 weeks growth. A nail fell off 1 day after I got them done, so I went back to get it fixed and explain that there the wrong shape. She then told me that I didn’t ask for that shape and didn’t show that photo when I did, she rushed my nails again, and again it had fallen off. Now it has been 5 days since getting my nails done from this salon and 4 nails have fallen off. I’m a regular loyal customer of this nail shop and I will never be returning there. They don’t care about there customers at all. I have attached a photo of what shape I asked for and the shape that I got.

Gigi Amélie I have been to sky nails twice and both experiences were not good, the first time I went there it took them an 1 hour and 30 to do my nails, and the second time was 2 hours. The first set I got started snapping off within the first week and the polish was peeling off. And the second time I went there my friend who is a regular there asked if it was the usual price ($50) and they said yes. But when we got to the till they told us the prices had been increased and charged us $60. While an extra $10 may seem like not a lot of money my friend and I are only teenagers who work hard to earn it. And when we tried to confront them about it they became defensive and rude. I would not recommend sky nails to ANYONE. They take way to long to do and they only last a short time. Do better.

Zoe Westaway I got these nails exactly a week ago. Many of my nails have already fallen off from simple everyday activities even though I have been very careful. They were the complete opposite of the design I asked. They cut my fingers, were ruff and it took around two hours. The nails weren’t straight and when she knocked my pinky and left a chip in the SNS she looked at it and then just left it and moved on. It was very unprofessional and dirty. NEVER GO HERE for your own sake I certainly will never go back

Jemimah I’ve been getting shellac forever on my toes, and gone to many different places. I love it because it lasts. I’ve been here a few times and every single time it peels off my nails. I don’t even get a good few weeks. Never again. It’s now happened one too many times.

Bianca Deryan I had a terrible experience at this nail salon. The nail technician applied the plastic tips to my nails, but I didn’t like the length and requested to have them adjusted. To my surprise, she refused, saying she couldn’t change them. I was shocked, especially since I was paying $75 for a single-color set that was supposed to be medium length. Additionally, I was charged $10 for nail removal, even though most other salons only charge $5. She didn’t even use acetone for the removal, instead, she just used a plastic nail to scrape them off, which didn’t seem professional or worth the price. I explained that I should have the right to adjust the length since she hadn’t even started applying the color yet—only the glue and plastic tips were on. She insisted that any changes would cost extra. At that point, I felt extremely upset and couldn’t hold back my emotions. I told her to take them off because I wanted to leave. It was ridiculous that I was paying for a service and wasn’t being accommodated for something as basic as adjusting the nail length.

B B Sarah, Nana, Tina and Uncle were so friendly, squeezed me in at the end of the day, when I was desperate for a manicure and pedicure shellac. It was so lovely and friendly and we chatted away. Great value for money and service was fantastic. I would highly recommend. Thank you team I’ll be back!

Kittii Asmr They do the best nails in here! I am so picky and have chubby fingers but love long skinny nails & Sarah always manages to make them look amazing. Also they have tons of Color’s plus the prices are great!! Best place in Mornington so far!

Nicole Morrow How do you tell someone that the standard of nails they deliver is terrible? Absolutely devastated in the quality of work provided. Nails are all weird shaped, lumpy and bumpy, glitter everywhere and no clear lines. Am going to have to go elsewhere to get them soaked off. Do not recommend. 0 stars!!

amelia My mum and I came in to get a spa pedicure and both of our chairs weren’t working which meant we didn’t get to use the massage feature on the chairs and the water wouldn’t bubble. There was also no music playing and it was dead silent. They also did not use a scrub when massaging my feet/legs. When painting my nails they were not painting the entire nail and leaving my actual nail at the top and sides unpainted. It was also painted unevenly and I complained about 1 nail and they had to do it all again with another person and it was no better than the first time. They also made my toe nails bleed on 3 different toes!!! I’m not the type of person to complain but this was ridiculous… even after all of this they still made us play the full price of $50!! Here is a photo of my sore swollen toes straight after I left the nail salon. Edit: It has now been 3 days and one of my toes is now infected…

milly gibney I go to this place all the time and they are honestly the best. They take their time so the nails are really long lasting. The artists are incredibly skilled and caring.

Madeleine Milland Easily the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon and the girls sitting around me would say the exact same thing! They were incresibly rude, rough and rushed everything, they were each doing about 3 people at once jumping from person to person, my nails are thick and uneven, the lengths are all different and the shape is horrible. It also cost more than any of my regular salons!

Althea Maxwell The pedi chairs are worn and no longer have a working massage function, warm water or spa function in the foot "spa". I was also told that exfoliation would cost an additional $5! At $50 (without exfoliation) for the pedi & shellac it was a disappointing experience at a premium price. My advice is to try one of the other many salons, who have working chairs and dont try to pass off standard inclusions as upgrades.

Chelsea Mather Horrible. I had two colours, one of the colour bottles was basically empty. Instead of saying something she insisted on putting it on my nails and scrapping the sides of the bottle. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but she told me it was “done” and it was not at all the colour I’d asked for when done, as it had not been properly applied. When I mentioned this the woman got cranky with me and was like it’s fine, I asked for a similar colour to be applied so the nail actually looked coloured properly. She was very rude and when she went to get the new bottle proceeded to talk in a tone in another language. Would never recommend going here. Very rude people.

Paula Cromwell Been there before for a pedicure and it’s been okay but this afternoon the person giving the treatment decided to make a phone call whilst working on my feet! Interesting …..she then cut too close trimming my nail and drew blood. She was disinterested and bored demonstrating how bored by constantly looking at her watch. Definitely won’t be going back there for anything.

Jayde Grove I’m not one to write reviews unless it’s positive but this place was AWFUL! I was cut and drew blood, they messed me around, the girl that did my nails was shaking so couldn’t do them properly (she said she had coffee so she was too shakey), didn’t have my colour (I was getting a French tip), was patchy, the nails were cut to different lengths ?, after multiple failed attempts of her trying to do the French tip I told her to just remove it as I didn’t want my nails done anymore. She then tried to charge me $40 for them. As even though I didn’t end up getting them painted I still technically had a “manicure”. I then fought my case as she had cut my skin and after talking to 4 different staff she said if I didn’t want to pay anything she would remove the clear coat she had screwed up the first place. After removing the clear coat the lady stood up and walked off. No apology. No respect. Will NEVER go here again!!! Sooo rude!!
