Ive been with her for the past 9 years and she always recommended a right treatment to suit my skin conditions upon every visit. She is passionate about beauty and constantly developing herself and her professional skills. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for facial treatment.

But when I let them know, they were so lovely and told me to come back in no problem at all! They fixed it perfectly to the gorgeous golden blonde I wanted, and I wasn’t even charged. So accommodating, so kind, and honestly the best experience. I’m absolutely in love with my hair!

Yvette Botha I remember, after 2yrs of looking, trying yet another hair dresser, who had one look at my hair and said it would take at least 3 visits over 3 months to get my hair looking good and healthy again. I never looked back and that is now over 15yrs ago! Pina, the owner only uses natural products, no harsh chemicals. I love my visits which always starts with a refresh of my henna brow with Lili, who does a fantastic job! Pina and her team are all professional and approachable and friendly and Im always happy with my result and I love having a cuppa and chat, always leave feeling so good.

The chemical free colouring results in my desired natural look with no irritation to my scalp or damage to my hair. I often receive compliments regarding the colour and healthiness of my hair which is wonderful when you are at an age of greying hair. The staff are very friendly and professional. It is a relaxing experience to have your hair coloured with massage chairs and coffee with sweet treats if you desire.

Kenstar Oz I have been with colorista for over five years. Was never happy with my previous hairdresser(s) and have had to rotate through a few of them. They never got my hair to style correctly and the colour dye used always resulted in severe scalp allergies. Since discovering Colorista, salon hopping was no longer required. Pina is great and a hoot. Nothing is too much for her. I recommend Colorista highly.

Thanks Paula again! Great example of what customer service should be! Went in for my 2nd visit after being satisfied with my 1st. Unfortunately second time wasnt as good. Had full set pedicure and manicure done including Shellac removal for $110 which was fine. The pedicure and Shellac were done really well but definitely not happy with my Manicure and and finished nails. Service was friendly but did struggle with communication. Towards the end they had to add an extra layer for the nails but the lady left it to a junior who basically had to redo the last layer over multiple times. I mentioned finish was not even and there were obvious lumps but she insisted itd even out with the final cost. Was not the case and I had to leave but really not happy with my nails now. Theyre messy, uneven and just not what I expected what what I paid for. They really shouldnt have let a junior to finish it up. Will try and go back if I can have them fix this up.

Debbie Ganas I do NOT recommend this place! I read all these beautiful reviews and decided to give this salon a go but unfortunately I had not the experience I read about. I found stuff quite unfriendly. The lady that did my nails hardly wanted to answer any my questions and made me feel uncomfortable. My nails didn’t look natural at all and even my friends commented of how bad they looked. In less than a week I had one nail chip at the base and in about 10-12 days 4 more nails cracked and chipped and were very painful. When I went back to show and ask for assistance she didn’t want to help me out at all. Gave me no solutions at all. I went to another place at the Pines and got assistance and very good advice straight away. Also they told me that whoever did my nails did them too thick and that’s the reason they were cracking. Updating my review to the owners response… That is not true at all. It’s so upsetting to me that you are making this story up. The damage started from less than a week (which I came and showed you) and kept getting worse by week 2. I never asked for them to be redone. I just wanted relief from the pain. You offered to fix nothing. You told me it’s nothing you can do. I told you they were hurting me because they kept bending were the cracks were and you offered no solution. I had to go to another salon to get assistance.

Reeva B I asked for a manicure with SNS and pedicure with Shellac. The pedicure and shellac turned out to be okay. The Manicure and SNS done by the nail technician named Trinh written on her Apron is very sub par. As she started getting ready to do the SNS I reminded her that I am also availing their manicure services as I wanted the excess skin to be pushed away and cleaned. She refused and told me “It should be fine by the time I used the drill to clean the nails as the sns sets”. Everything was just wrong from the start. She even nicked one finger and the nails just looked ridiculous after it’s done. I asked for oval shape and it was very pointy. I had to ask her to nail file it to be less pointy. I even showed pictures of what my preferences are to which she ignored multiple times and had to ask me multiple times to show her. I just don’t think her concentration is there. I am really disappointed as I looked at the other customers nails and they looked very satisfied with theirs. I felt the woman who did mine was in a rushed to get mine done. She was looking at the watch while doing mine and just didn’t really care. Bad experience from the start.

effy iosifidis Was extremely frustrated after my pedicure. What seemed like plain black polish was indeed navy blue and they wanted to argue the fact they kept going on and on and kept insisting that it was BLACK. They then blamed it on the top coat after I asked them to come outside with me to prove what I was saying was the truth. They should’ve told me that the top coat changes the colour to blue. In the end they re painted my toes but that was not the point to start off with. Was a very frustrating experience. Will give the other nail shop a go next time because I’m finding out as you get older you don’t want to deal with any crap.

Emily Emzii I’ve been a regular at this nail salon for over six months, but after my most recent visit, I will not be returning. I brought in a simple design I had seen on their socials, hoping for the same quality and professionalism I’d experienced before. Unfortunately, my visit was far from what I expected. The service took much longer than usual. A lady started on my nails but kept speaking in another language with the other workers, laughing and seemingly enjoying themselves. At first, I thought it might be harmless, but as more workers came over at different points to watch and laugh, I started to feel increasingly uncomfortable. It felt like I was being mocked, and my attempts to engage in friendly conversation were brushed off. To make matters worse, the design was poorly executed, with a noticeable gap between the tip and my nail (which I’ve included in the photos). I was made to feel so anxious that I didn’t feel comfortable saying anything and just wanted to leave. The experience left me feeling disrespected and like a source of entertainment for the staff rather than a valued client. It’s such a shame because I had hoped this salon would continue to be my go-to, but this behavior is not something I can overlook. I will be seeking a new salon where my time and money are respected.

Kathie Edmond Booked a 9am appointment for manicure & pedicure for natural nails. Arrived at 9am. No greeting on arrival staff continued to work on clients and did not acknowledge me. Said hello again and advised my booking for 9am. Advised to take a seat. Waited 15mins. No conversation. Went to move my car. Returned and was given colour palette and selected a colour. Technician arrived and started on pedicure no consultation. A walk-in arrived and was greeted with courtesy and provided service. A shellac pedicure was completed no manicure. Not what I asked for. I paid using a gift voucher and left. This is the WORST experience I have had. I will DEFINITELY not be back. In times when businesses are struggling to survive this poor service should not exist. Would have preferred to give my money and time elsewhere. Extremely disappointed. Don’t waste your time and money here!
