Arnold Wheeler Current Exhibition ...Truth Beauty and Utiliy. The Arts and Crafts Movement in Heidelberg....is so comprehenive. An absolutey facinating insight into the period 1880 to 1930 approx leading to the construction of the more prevalent Californian Bungalows and earlier Arts and Crafts Ivanhoe homes in the area and across Melboure. Including Art Nouveau design. The curator who is usually there on Sundays 2 to 4 throuhout this exhibition has a great understanding and put this wonderful exhibition together. Well worth visiting. I think I spent 1.5 hours taking it all in slowly, and I still want to return to study the small part I missed. More interesting than the Evis Presley Exhibition in my opinion. But you do have to study and understand displays, photos and text carefully to fully appreciate the exhibition and this period of home beautiful in our local history.
