1 /5 jessica gao: Last Saturday, April 19th around 5pm, I was looking forward to buying a beautiful necklace. However, the service I received was extremely rude. A young lady initially asked if there was anything I wanted to try on, and I selected two necklaces. She then passed them to an older gentleman, and that’s when my unpleasant experience began.
While the two of them were still talking, I didn’t want to interrupt, so I quietly took down a third necklace that I also really wanted to try on and placed it on the gentleman’s tray. Suddenly, he reacted as if I had done something terribly wrong. He said I would get him into serious trouble and kept questioning me about where I took the necklace from. I was shocked and immediately apologized.
After that, he asked me to sit down so he could help me try it on. I asked, “Is it necessary for you to put it on me? Can I try it myself?” because I was already feeling very uncomfortable. I don’t know what I said that upset him again, but he suddenly tossed the necklace to me and looked extremely displeased throughout. I will never visit such a “prestigious” store again—treating a customer like a thief is absolutely unacceptable.
