Roslyn Rang today to make an appointment. Spoke to Emma. She was not aware that her employer has back/ shoulder massages (despite it being listed on their website). She then advised that vouchers cannot be used on Saturdays (this is not listed on their website or on the voucher). The person who wrote the expiry date on my voucher had written 22/25/2022 so I asked what the expiry date is, as the date on the voucher is obviously invalid. Emma then proceeded to ask for my surname 3 times. She then said she could not find the voucher under my surname. I then asked her to look it up under the voucher number. Emma said she could not and insisted on looking it up under the surname of the person who bought it for me. Finally a colleague stepped in and searched under the voucher number. I’m unsure if Emma was being passive aggressive or merely incompetent but I hope to never deal with this person again.
Edit - Simone from the Salon rang me to defend her employee (as she also did below). Her response was inadequate. If Emma did not know how to do her job, she should have asked another person for help immediately. Any trainee (even if on their first day) is aware of that. I am satisfied that my review is accurate and reflects the terrible customer service I experienced.
Edit #2 - I am adding another edit as I note that Simone had edited her review (Simone, when you read this, please note I will continue to edit my review as required). When Simone rang me, she did not try to rectify the situation as she claimed. She rang to advise that a) Emma was young and therefore could not possibly know how to do her job and b) the situation was my fault, as I didn’t request to speak to a manager. This is reflected in her statement below.
Based on my experiences today, the salon seems to have an issue with customer service and their staff are extremely unpleasant.
