Lyanne Thain Elodie is a magician, she completely transformed my hair from drab to glossy blonde with a keratin and balayage treatment and then did my wedding hair all within 2 weeks notice. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating, nothing ever feels like too much trouble. Highly recommend

Kobi Rogers Absolutely amazing experience at Cranium Hair. Kristie is an incredible stylist and really takes the time to understand and provide best recommendations within the scope you’re wanting to achieve. Couldn’t be happier with my new haircut. You won’t be disappointed with any aspect of this salon, especially the massage chair when washing. Heaven.

Jess I booked a nanoplasty treatment for my 18th birthday and was really looking forward to the results. I have naturally wavy and fairly frizzy hair, and I was told upfront—both in person and on the salon’s website—that the treatment wouldn’t fully straighten my hair, but it would reduce frizz and improve manageability. That’s all I was hoping for.
The salon itself was lovely. My stylist was warm, professional, and seemed knowledgeable about nanoplasty treatments. But despite the pleasant in-salon experience, I left feeling incredibly disappointed—not with how my hair looked after being styled at the salon, but with the lack of information I was given before and during the treatment.
Only midway through the appointment was I told that in order to see ANY results, I’d need to blow-dry (and possibly straighten) my hair every time I washed it. I was also told at that point that it wouldn’t necessarily reduce frizz. This was a shock, and not what had been explained to me earlier. Still, I trusted the process and waited the recommended period before washing my hair.
Unfortunately, once I did, my hair looked and felt exactly the same as it did before the treatment—still frizzy, still unmanageable. When I returned to the salon to discuss my concerns, my stylist acknowledged that she hadn’t seen this kind of result from a nanoplasty before, but reiterated that I wouldn’t see any results unless I styled it myself. She said the owner would reach out.
That follow-up call with the owner, Belinda, was what truly ruined the experience for me. Within the first minute, she made it clear that she would not offer a refund or a redo of the treatment as they hadn’t made any mistake in application. I tried to explain that I felt misled by the lack of full disclosure, but she insisted the salon hadn’t guaranteed anything and that it wasn’t their responsibility how my hair responded.
After the call, I researched the product she said they used. According to the manufacturer, the product promises “long-lasting straight hair (up to 6 months), high impact gloss, and eliminates 100% frizz.” That’s the exact opposite of what I was told to expect, as I was told it won’t straighten my hair, which now makes me question whether I was given the correct product name or if the treatment was done properly at all. Belinda was initially reluctant to tell me the product name, which makes me even more confused.
I fully understand that results vary, but I dont think I was given the information I needed to make an informed decision—until it was too late. What’s most disappointing is how the situation was handled. There was no apology during that 30-minute phone call, no real conversation, and no attempt at resolution—just repeated insistence that nothing had been “guaranteed,” despite what was clearly described on their own website and by the stylist, and by Belinda herself on a phone call before my appointment in which she said the nanoplasty will reduce frizz.
I spent $680 on this treatment, and I left with hair that looked no different (as many of my friends agreed) and with little support or care shown when I expressed my concerns. I wasn’t even offered a chance to come in and show Belinda the result in person for her to make an informed decision. Belinda had clearly made up her mind before speaking with me, and that’s what hurt the most. She said I was free to leave a negative review if I was dissatisfied.
I genuinely wanted to love this experience. But instead, I was left feeling misled, dismissed, and incredibly disappointed. Below are photos of my hair post treatment, one is moderately dried, the other is when it was fully dried.

Sunseeker Superb work Emily! You are a very talented artist with great discernment of what your clients need. I’m very happy with my hair and I’ve barely walked out the salon and already received two compliments from strangers. See you again soon. Ps my photo doesn’t do your work justice :-D

Emma Searle I’ve been living on the NB for 4 years now and although I don’t visit the salon very often (maybe twice a year) I still hadn’t quite found ‘the one’ until I went to Cranium Hair.
I was craving a refresh after too long without foils or even a cut and booked an appointment only 2 days prior. Easily got a time that suited me.
My hubby’s plans had changed, so I had to rock up with my toddler.
I was immediately welcomed and we were both looked after with a chair each, beverages, snacks - she even got a strawberry milkshake!
The owner is just so lovely and welcoming and looked after my daughter so considerately, she sat in her chair happily with her snacks and milkshake the whole time!
Julia did my hair and she was just as lovely as the owner!
Even with a toddler next to me I was relaxed which is the best part of a hair appointment!
I’m not very particular with my hair, just told Julie I needed a refresh with some foils and I like a decent change. She knew exactly what to do and even 6 weeks later I am still getting compliments for my hair!
Thanks ladies! I will be back! :)
