Margot Dawson After just having moved into the area this was my first appointment at Sessions with Nicole. Nicole is the owner/manager and she and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Its obviously a popular local salon with many long term clients fitting in their pre-Christmas appointments. I am very happy with the colour, cut and styling. A highlight was definitely the separate room in the salon where you go to have your hair washed - the head massage while listening to piano music was soooo relaxing! Her little dog so sweet too.

Claudia Gallardo Today I had my hair cut by Nicole. While I was waiting, Angelica gave me a wonderful head massage and very useful advice on how to tame my frizzy hair! As always, the haircut was fantastic and the atmosphere in the salon welcoming and relaxing. I also love the fact that the products they use are environmentally friendly.

Jennifer It seems that my last review has disappeared so here it is again. They have a sign displayed in the salon offering a discount to customers who leave a Google review but I’m leaving my honest review.
Please see my edit at the end, responding to her comment about my disappeared review.
I had T section foils done at Sessions a few weeks ago and I am still suffering the consequences. I wanted nice, natural looking highlights and lowlights which is what I’ve been getting done for years. Instead, I ended up with large chunks of blonde along my part.
This was not noticeable at the salon after they dried it off, due to the lighting, I couldn’t see the top of my head properly and they didn’t part it where I told them I wanted to part it, they had it brushed messily to one side so it looked more blended. I didn’t realise how bad it was until I got home and parted it neatly to where it naturally sits.
I have resorted to trying to hide the blonde chunks until my next hairdresser appointment, by wearing it tied up and brushed it to the back so it looks more blended. It’s impossible to wear my hair down the way I prefer it. When it falls down naturally that is when you see the shocking chunks of blonde.
I have had junior hairdressers at other salons do a better job than this. As I said, I’ve been getting T section foils for years so I know what it’s supposed to look like.
I contacted the owner and sent a photo. She has refused a refund. She’s offered to redo my hair but unfortunately I don’t trust them to touch my hair again.
They responded to my original review (which for some reason has disappeared). They stated their reasons for not offering a refund which I will respond to below:
1. I had a history of satisfaction.
I’ve only been to the salon twice before this. The 1st time was with an excellent hairdresser who no longer works there. The 2nd was with Angelica and the colour was ok that time. My review refers to my 3rd visit which was the 2nd time I met Angelica. I don’t understand how satisfaction at previous visits excuses doing a bad job this time.
2. Repetition of colour used at previous visits:
She may have used the same colour as previous visits but the placement of colour was wrong- the highlights are not spread out evenly.
3. I didn’t request a blow dry:
This is correct but I requested a quick dry off which is what I’ve been getting done for years. The coloured section of hair was dried.
4. My “refusal” to let them assess my hair in person:
The hairdresser should’ve assessed my hair on the day. She didn’t part my hair properly, it was messy and positioned in a way that gave the illusion of blended colour. That is not how my hair naturally sits. The photo I emailed them clearly shows the problem. I’m not willing to let them touch my hair again.
EDIT to respond to her below reply:
In my conversations with Nicole (the owner) I caught her lying multiple times and now she is twisting my words to make it seem like I meant something that I did not. I have clarified in my email to her that I wasn’t implying she deleted my review. All I know is that the review disappeared and I have no idea why. I checked multiple times both while logged in and logged out - it was showing in my account but not displayed publicly. So I reposted another review but first I deleted the old one from my account just in case. I’ve explained this to her.
I am shocked at her reaction to my complaint and how she has handled this. I wish I could post the whole email conversation so people can see! There is not enough space here to include everything she has said. I will say that her reaction was unprofessional, argumentative with no empathy and no apology. I feel ripped off that I paid her in exchange for having to walk around for weeks with chunks of blonde in my hair but she couldn’t care less.

Nicole Vicentini Angelica is my go-to and never disappoints!! She understands my thick, wavy/curly hair better than I do and has been advising me on how to start my curl journey! Your cuts always make my hair look and feel its best! Always such a pleasure to spend time in your chair! Thank you!

Kyli McCorry I found this lovely salon on a google search on my area and I was not disappointed. Had my hair cut my Angelica and coloured (balayage) by Nicole. Both were so friendly, professional, careful and took their time with me to get a great end result. I’m so happy with my hair! Thank you!
