Meni & Adi Newman Beautiful, peaceful and calm walk

Melanie Bunting Lovely gardens that are hidden away behind a house at the entry. They are open to the public so dont let that confuse you. The gardens are lovely and clearly very loved. Theres toilets and a bbq area, and its dog friendly. Really enjoyed it hear, it was like being in the countryside in the middle of the city.

Chandrasekaran Vembu Today we went there. There is nothing much exciting to watch except a few plants which have flowers ( not in plenty ) that are otherwise available in other parts of the City . Other than us there were only two more visitors. There is no drinking water facility. Only toilet was seen for Ladies. We expected more flowers and greenery. We could see the Council Service Staff doing routine cleaning. Deserve a better maintenance. We had to walk much down. No signboard for the park from the Main Road

Emma Wu Really well maintained garden hidden behind some houses. They have a BBQ area( which requires booking), accompanied by toilets is a great spot for a party. Just not sure if it’s quite packed on weekend as I went during the week.

emma yang A natural and well designed garden. Beautiful views mixed with a variety of different elements. Not a huge place but conveys a sense of depth thanks to its well though out design. Cute flowers gave you kind of surprises while waking inside the garden. A good place to relax and feel the beauty of nature ❤️

david mitchell Very nice reserve - well maintained.

Matisse Valette Single table, not covered. Came across this spot as I looked for a study space in between events on a weekend. Very peaceful. No amenities otherwise.
4 /5
Oliver Descoeudres If it was anywhere else, it wouldnt be so cool... but to find this old quarry, with its steep sandstone walls and tall ferns hidden, away down a side street is a very pleasant surprise! Theres also a geocache hidden here, for those into geocaching.

Michael Many Hard Long Wet trees while your walking in the dry atmosphere.

Christine Tan Photography Beautiful hidden gem of a reserve in a secluded residential neighbour hood. Great place to escape the hustle of life and just listen to the birds. I visited in the autumn on a rainy day. It was so peaceful under the tree listening to the water run down the rocks and the top of the trees. One lone picnic bench and a lot of green space. Highly recommend if you can find it and get this place to yourself.

4.Ticket Of Leave Park

Address: Coronga Cres, Killara NSW 2071

Imges Ticket Of Leave Park

(8) Reviews Ticket Of Leave Park:

Paul Cumming Unless youre a local, you wouldnt know this beautiful reserve exists. It is totally enclosed by homes in Coronga Crescent & Fiddens Wharf Road,. The only access for non-residents & council workers being a small laneway. The park has a historic part in early Killara, being associated with the timber-getters during the 19th Century, who would send felled timber down the Lane Cove River to Sydney from Fiddens Wharf. The reserve has plenty of shade, seating, & playground equipment that was originally installed & maintained by a generous neighbour. In 1987, the Kennedy-Miller TV miniseries Vietnam filmed a few scenes in a house that backs onto the reserve, plus also at the nearby West Lindfield shops. Ticket Of Leave Reserve became a temporary catering, makeup & wardrobe department during the shoot. Nicole Kidman (aged 19) featured in the production, alongside Nicholas Eadie & Barry Otto.

Isha Sharma We discovered this park by chance. We were in the area one weekend and I randomly looked for parks nearby for my kids to spend time while my husband picked us up. At first I did not find it at all and later realised there is a narrow entry lane that takes you into the park. I literally felt I am going to land into someones backyard but then there it was. Wow! Never saw a park like that before - they all are beautiful, but this one was unique. It gives a feel of walking into the woods.

Byron Van Gisborne Fantastic reserve

Kelvin Lu Secret garden of the surrounding residents. Not so popular. You may have to look around very carefully to find the entry when you first visit. But youll be immediately impressed by the peace and beauty of the little park. This is a perfect place for kids birthday party and other small family gathering.

Collin DSouza One of the best parks for kids in the upper north shore
5 /5
Brian Edler Lovely little park for small kids, small dogs, and a bbq. Unfortunately lacks toilet facilities… so visit the greengate pub for their toilet before going to the park!
5 /5
Michael Hui Its a small park, it has everything but a toilet, equipments such as the bbq and play grounds are nice and new. Most importantly it has gates wrap around so its safe for the kids.
4 /5
Robert Sandy I would have given this place 5 stars if it had a toilet. Greengate park is a great place for toddlers and a bit older. Great for them to learn to ride a bike or a scooter, loads of place for them to run, with a bit of shelter. The downsides are no toilet and the perimeter is not fully gated

Fraser Creighton Great dog park, recommend coming late morning so the grass has dried from the morning dew and wear closed shoes. Good fun to see all the local dogs.

steve end Very nice and clean and well maintained

Jo Ninja Fisherman Truth be told, I used the gents bathroom when nature called suddenly. The pissoir was vintage and the ambiance reminded me of the early 1980s when I played sport. Lovely subdued landscaping with discreet Lilly pilly hedges curated by an artisanal grounds-keeper. What a delightful dribble I had....
5 /5
carol gu It’s one of the most lovely dog park for my Ollie. He enjoyed all the time with his friends. Good location, easy parking, well maintained grass. Just to note that there’s Cricket sports during the weekend. Better to setup a notification board to notify dog owners the time of sports.
5 /5
Robert Wignall Nice playground with good variety of equipment and a tiny bit of scrub land for kids to have adventures in. Easy for them to vanish temporarily in it, though! No bathroom... except for the scrub land.

vintagepimpage 604 Great place to visit in sydney, its free , its beautiful and most all its clean , this little hidden gem within the city is fantastic, its a short walk down to the river and you can choose to continue to walk along the river or use a great climbing trail in the opposite direction, definitely will be back again
5 /5
Adam Smith The oval is a little difficult to find for someone who has never been to the area before as it is tucked away at the end of a narrow road with no real signage. There are limited parks along the street close to the track entrance (although cars could get down to the oval, there is a locked gate). Access down to the oval is a steep drop, and it is a squeeze to get a pram around the gate. People with mobility issues will struggle to get down to the oval and even more trying to get back up the hill. The fencing and other infrastructure items around the oval are quite old and are in need of a refresh. The bushland around is quite thick and overthrowing into the oval surrounds in places. The oval itself has a cricket pitch in the centre (concrete with synthetic grass on top), but it is not in the best state of repair. The playing surface is well grassed but is uneven due to wildlife activity. It is suitable enough for kids soccer (there is provision for 2 games to be played at once). There are public toilets next to the oval, but they do not appear to be regularly serviced. The local councils website mentioned a BBQ, but we could not find it. There is a bush walking route that passes through. The surrounding bushland is nice, with abundant wildlife visible and heard in location. The rating given is for the oval itself and not the surrounding area.

Nina Beilby Often soggy, surrounded by blackberry bushes this field has seen better days. It is, however, abundant with wildlife. From wild rabbit to Frogmouth Owls, it is the perfect spot to bring your camera. With easy access to the National Park, it is a good place to start your walk from for a change of pace and scenery.
3 /5
F.L.A.G Great sport ground for soccer playing. Street parking is available and within walking distance. Big slop may not suitable for disabled access, will get a little bit muddy when wet.
5 /5
Mark Farac Fiddens Wharf is named after Joseph Ridden ,an ex-convict who had been granted land. He was ferryman on the river , rowing sawn timber down to Sydney and delivering supplies to isolated settlers along the way . Good local spot for sport !

Joel Wilson Not a small oval for cricket:) there are tennis courts and play equipment too. Decent amount of parking spots. Quite serene

Paula Layton Great place for walking at the weekends when most other parks/ovals are full of sporting teams and their supporters as well as small children on bikes/scooter etc. - nice to see, but a bit hazardous for elderly walkers. Alan Small Oval is quiet and sheltered and never seems to get crowded. Also very attractive surrounded by trees and offering numerous sightings of kookaburras, wild rabbits etc. Unisex/disabled toilet available til 10 pm daily.

Panicker Hemachandran (Hem) This ground is slightly on the smaller side. The square boundaries are small.. I have played a few times.. Once the grass was a mess in the outfield, but the other times there were no bald spots an the grass but the infield was very slow. Very easy to lose balls if a hit goes out to the bushes. We lost a few.

Mitch Australia Stopped in the other day to fly my drone around the park. This park has an oval, basketball court, tennis courts and a parking lot. I would avoid the oval as it is currently muddy and still trying to recover from all the recent rains. Attached are the photos I captured of the area
