Huong Truong Shopped around a fair bit as braces are a long term and expensive venture. We went with Dr Shelley and her friendly team because they are really experienced and so well organised. Also, Western Ortho were the most affordable (out of 5 quotes), and explained everything to us about what treatments entailed and how to get the best out of our orthodontics. The advice we got from 5 different local orthos varied - with one recommending jaw surgery (! even though it’s totally unnecessary in our case!) Both kids have braces, and with visits every 6 weeks. If we have any issues in between, Dr Shelley and team are super responsive and ready to help. Highly recommend Dr Shelley and the Western Ortho team!

chin kok Goh I would like to share my story, its first time Visited on 15th march was in intense pain due to toothache gum infections. The fact is I asked to extract 2 teeth which is severe decay beyond repair. But The dentist who served me recommended one of the teeths (bottomside)can still be fixed by root treatment which will costs around $ 2500. And the other teeth(topside) is more complex to extract can not be done. During the xray, the top scan teeth was alright but the bottom scan teeth i had to hold with finger to scan it. It seems quite a risk of radiation. I did not given the xray photo to look at for further explanations..all was just the dentist recommendations without knowing my excruciating pain. All she did was sealed the bottom side teeth and booked me in for the 18th root treatment ASAP. I requested for a medical certificate she just forgot all about it. it was totally dissapointing experience. Overall its a ripped off $$$$

Ann I had my two wisdom teeth removed with Dr Rama Chockalingam a few weeks back and eveything went well. The receptionist staff were all friendly. My regular dentist suggested I see an oral surgeon to remove my wisdom teeth as it was in close proximity to the nerves. However since Dr Rama is highly skilled and has many experiences in complicated extraction, he was able to do the procedure. I’m pretty sure that contributed to my quick recovery. I highly recommend him.

Abby Sankaradas Got 4 impacted wisdom teeth extracted by Dr Rama. He made me feel at ease from the moment I stepped into the clinic. Dr. Nohn Thai understood my situation and provided a temporary fix that allowed me to buy time before getting the root canal done overseas. The procedure was quick and painless, and they made sure the temporary restoration was comfortable and functional. The staff was also very understanding and explained all my options clearly, which I appreciated. Understanding and caring and pretty professional on what they do and what makes it better is that they give you referrals to the x ray place next across the road and sit with you and answer every question and options and stuff you have... cost me 70$ to see them and Medicare x ray across the road did wait for years to see a dentist and besides got coffee shops nearby and can chill 1 phone call you can run back in and see dentist instead of waiting on a chair for 7 hrs like CARLTON EMERGENCY DENTAL HOSPITAL CHARGED ME 30$ FOR A 5 MIN CHAT AND X RAY REFERRAL TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO WAIT ANOTHER 3HRS (F THAT!) and the dentist at A.T dental was mor3 caring and communicative not like the hospital just wanted to usher you away after few minutes and MY TEETH ARE BAAAAAAAAAD!

Paul Astbury A painful tooth made me seek out a local dentist supporting my insurance provider. Good reviews made me confident to attend. I’ve not been disappointed. Dr Thai is outstanding. So professional, with the most detailed, articulate description of the work I needed. I’m halfway through my treatment, but my smile looks so much better already. Even if without insurance, prices are very reasonable for the exceptional quality of work. Thoroughly recommended.

ikreeezy Dr Nevenka is one of the best orthodontist in Footscray. Always thinking ahead with the best interests in mind. I had braces on for two years and was extremely happy with my results. My appointments were very regular and i was always aware as to what was going on and the progress of my treatment. Whilst on braces Dr Nevenka suggested i start thinking about removing my wisdoms early as there is a long waiting list. Luckily i was next in line to remove them 6 months after my braces were removed. The staff are very friendly, attentive and accomodating. Even after a few years of braces removal i was still seeing Dr Nevenka at least twice a year along with the occasional appointments when i have lost or damaged my retainer. Overall a very lovely, kind and charismatic doctor, i have suggested so many of my friends who are also her patients and can confidentially suggest to parents/ anyone interested in orthodontic treatment to see Dr Nevenka! It’s never too early to start orthodontic treatment :)

Trang Dang From the place to the staffs at the clinic everything is very satisfying! The staffs are super nice and approachable and makes you feel very comfortable to be in. Dr Nevenka makes the patient feel very comfortable and relax throughout the process and always seem cheery to her patients, also she is gentle with your teeth too!

Alejandra Nicolazzo I was really impressed with Navenka. This is the second time we have been to her offices; the first time was 7 years ago, and she resolved and perfected my sons teeth issues with a plate, which was an affordable and simple solution. We went back today because I was quoted $6K to fix a minor problem at another clinic (much closer to home). This didnt seem right to me, so we drove the extra distance to get a second opinion. Not only did Navenka not charge us for the consultation, but she gave us the honest opinion that this issue was more than likely to resolve itself and provided us with straight-forward advice to help the issue along at home. She is a truly honest and caring professional who is highly knowledgeable in her field. I will not go anywhere else from now on.

Lukas Nguyen I wanted to give this place at least 2 stars, but each and every time we come here we feel stressed out, angry and it literally ruins the rest of our day. Nothing seems to go right or flow smoothly. My partner’s braces journey here was 2.5 years of frustration, sometimes poor workmanship, and so many wasted hours in the waiting room. If you’re looking for an orthodontic practice that values your time, money, and sanity, I advise you to look elsewhere - even if it’s a bit further out. The two biggest gripes are scheduling and quality of work. They are always overbooked. Waiting times of 40+ minutes is the norm rather than the exception. If you’re particularly blessed on a given day and you booked the earliest or latest possible appointment, you might be able to get in within 15 mins. Sometimes they let you in ‘early’ only to make you sit on the chair and wait for even longer (why!?). When it comes to quality, I probably need both hands to count the number of times we’ve had to come back to fix something that didn’t go right. Either the metal wouldn’t be cut quite right (causing gum damage) or some part would come off that was not supposed to. The receptionists can be friendly and helpful on a good day, bordering on apathy and incompetence otherwise. It’s entirely possible that the experience might have been different when Dr Nevenka Tadic was a solo practitioner. We were debating whether to put up this review numerous times during the treatment but I’m afraid the frustration just became too much. I have tried to make this review as fair and objective as possible. I hope Dr Tadic and any other stakeholders in this business will seriously consider taking a step back and re-evaluating the customer experience here.
