We were headed to another tasting and just wanted to pop in but ended up staying and missing our next tasting because we enjoyed Emma and her winery so much :) To the atmosphere and decor, to the intimate setting and the tasty wines it’s a 10/10!! We walked away with three bottles, an experience we’ll never forget, and a person (Emma) we will always remember. You MUST go!

Emma was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and refreshingly honest, which made the visit even more special. Linda Franco I recently had the pleasure of visiting Maddens Rise and it was an experience I won’t forget. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Emma, who truly made our visit special. The setting was absolutely stunning, with rolling vineyards and a beautiful tasting room that felt inviting. But what truly set this winery apart was the level of service. Emma was not only knowledgeable about the wines but also passionate about sharing the history of the vineyard, the winemaking process, and personal experiences too. We will come back to buy more wine for sure.

Clement Sim Emma was such a lovely host, and she was incredibly hospitable and clear with her explanations throughout the tasting experience. Maddens Rise is a beautiful boutique winery that carries some amazing wines. It has beautiful surroundings and a tastefully designed interior space that sits about 20. Would highly recommend this winery to anyone stopping by the area. And say hi to Emma and bask in her amazing hospitality.

Rion Shelley Exceptional wines and exceptional wine tasting experience! Its a small building, beautifully designed, very tasteful, fabulous views. Emma is the hostess with the mostest. I highly recommend the 2018 Chardonnay, the Cinz Amis 2016 and the stunning 2016 Nebbiolo, boutique wines, crafted with love. Highly recommended.

Vicky Rastelli Fantastic place to disconnect from the city, enjoy fabulous views, drink tasty wines and eat delicious french cooking. Hostess and water were lovely, the pinot noir was delicious, main dish was Beef Bourguignon and it was fantastic and the Tarte Tatin, on this modern presentation totally surprised me!!! Im coming back for the Casserole.

Danny Ivanoff Had lunch in the clouds today. Fresh mountain air, stunning views, and food that felt like a treat — but way cheaper than the city. Now I truly get why the Greeks created Dionysus, the god of wine. And this wine wasn’t from a bottle shop — it came straight from the heart of the winery. Pure magic.

anthony tano A Hidden Gem – Pure Perfection at Riverstone Winery Estate! From the moment we arrived at Riverstone Winery Estate, we were blown away by the beauty of the surroundings and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The vineyard itself is absolutely stunning with breathtaking views. The Chardonnay was crisp and elegant, the Shiraz rich and bold, and the Rose—absolutely divine. You can really taste the passion in every glass. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, taking the time to share the story behind each wine and making the entire experience feel personal and memorable. We also enjoyed a delicious cheese platter that paired beautifully with the wine.

Phoebe Blank I had a Mother’s Day lunch at Riverstone and was so saddened that the change of ownership meant that the pricing skyrocketed and the service / quality deteriorated. We spent $160 in total which included a miserable cheese board that looked like it had very strict requirements, ie 4 grapes, 3 olives, 1 slice of salami… we had two wine tastings which cost $28 each - normally a wine tasting is redeemable on a bottle of wine or at the very least is $5 for the very small amount of wine provided. It ended up being a very expensive 1.0 standard drink of various wines that were not explained at all as the sommelier was a little too interested in the male standing next to me!! We waited an hour before we had a drink (ie the terrible wine tasting mentioned above!). Whilst the waiter was very lovely, I think the process was misunderstood - we had a wine tastings and the idea was the food would be on the table afterwards.. well our tiny bit of cheese sat in the sun outside until we were finished the tasting! It’s such a shame as the views are lovely but we simply will not go back. The old riverstone had beautiful live music that I would have expected on a day like Mother’s Day - there was no background music (even just Spotify!). Feeling pretty sad that what should have been a lovely Mother’s Day was tarnished with a business that was too concerned with price gouging than experience

Richard Little Cheeseboard and cider make this a perfect lunchtime stop. The venue is popular and offer cellar door experiences, cider tastings plus a picnic lunch where you can make your own picnic hamper. Outside there were benches and picnic blankets and some live guitar music to enjoy. Service is friendly and welcoming too. If you like and appreciate this review please give it a like or a thumbs up so that I know what content to include in future reviews.

Caitlin ARCHIBALD Fantastic venue for a function for a fair price :) had the best time & it was so nice having a private space. Beautiful picnic baskets, chardonnay, cocktails at private bar and they allowed us to decorate. The staff were so supportive & communicated well with us on the day as well as Christine (manager) communicating beautifully the months prior to organise. Thank you Punt Road Wines! Xx

Alice Cat Loved this winery. Location is amazing with big garden where to sit on too and they also provide picnic blankets to spend some time in the sun. We did both cider and wine tasting and it was a fun time. They have some award winners wines too and ciders from Chardonnay too that makes it very unique. What a good time.

Victoria G Visited Punt Rd wines as part of our Hop it tour. One of the most interesting wine tastings Ive ever had with a selection of unique wines like a white pinot noir, and orange wine with a savoury finish. Definitely something worth trying! We also did the cider tasting panel and put together a little cheeseboard to enjoy alongside our tastings which was a perfect start to the day.

David Furniss Visited Punt Rd Winery on a beautiful autumn afternoon. We initially had the wine tasting and Gerry did a great job of explaining all the details of the winery and each wine. They were all delicious, and we also tried their cider that utilises the grapes after they have made Bloody Shiraz Gin (Four Pillars). We left very happy, and with a bottle of their Quinity red blend wine and a pack of the cider. Thanks Gerry!

Daniel Roz Best dog off lead area in the Yarra valley, that Ive come across in my search for the perfect park so far! Just a fantastic community feel to it! The entire reserve is great to have your dog off lead and to run around, as you pick from a variety of paths to take as a circuit of the reserve. Mix and match paths to your desired walk length. Worth a visit.

Ben Trinh Huge off leash dog park, plenty of doggy waste bins, for the most part clean bar some dog waste not picked up by owners, clear walking path aswell for all fitness levels.

On the day itself, the Coombe team went above and beyond to ensure both we and our guests were looked after. The level of coordination among the staff was outstanding, they communicated so well between themselves that we felt completely supported and felt like a priority throughout the entire event. The venue is, of course, stunning, but it’s the people who truly make Coombe special. We’re so grateful for everything they did to make our day magical and we cannot recommend Coombe Yarra Valley highly enough to any couples looking for a dream wedding venue. Char Weeks Wow, the garden tour was an outrageous entree into the life of Dame Nellie Melba. Courtney was a most knowledgeable tour guide and narrator of Melbas escapades. The restaurant food is to die for with its compact menu fresh and luscious local produce. My entree tuna pastrami came near straight from the ocean and was dressed to impress.My slow cooked lamb shoulder for two graciously fell apart. The meat was soft and delicious. The tropical eton mess was a zinger. And a super friendly wait team. I can hardly wait to return.

Denise Li We booked the Devonshire tea set, and the scone was absolutely divine. After exploring the beautiful venue, we decided to add the garden tour—and we’re so glad we did! Rosemary, a lovely guide, took us through the four stunning gardens that once belonged to Dame Nellie Melba. Her introduction to the property, its plants, trees, and rich history was truly captivating. We had a wonderful morning enjoying the tour and the delicious tea set. Highly recommend!

Facetology RN We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to get married. This venue truly felt like the closest thing to Tuscany – absolutely magical in every way. The charm, the atmosphere, and the history of the location made it feel so special and romantic, like something out of a fairytale. From start to finish, the entire staff was phenomenal – so attentive, kind, and professional. Every detail was handled with such care, and it made our day feel completely stress-free and full of joy. A special thank you to our incredible wedding coordinator, Angela – you are the best! You made everything feel seamless and effortless, and we are so grateful for your support and expertise. Herin Wine was excellent. We took tasting experience. 3 different wines for 1 person. Sparkling wine was very good. Tastes rich, with very beautiful view. Service was really great. Staffs were friendly. Food was good. Although I expect more. Place in general was good, clean, and blessed with a heavenly view.

Yeong Jia Jun beautiful location, wonderful staff and offerings. Definitely do a tasting so you find your favorite. We found the Garden Spritz to be absolutely refreshing and hence got a bottle back to enjoy. Too bad we were full but we found ourselves salivating over what the other tables had ordered, so leave yourself some stomach to order the food there!

Jonathan Sattler It’s not great. It’s in a lovely impressive setting. Food was phenomenal, but that’s what you expect with that price tag. Wines and champagne was enjoyable and great experience. Service is one level better than McDonald’s but that’s hospitality in Australia. Always under trained staff and under serviced businesses. Nothing different here. We were basically rushed to get the F out as they wanted to close on the minute.

Einat Gazit We booked lunch including half a glass with every dish. Food was awesome as well as the wonderful sparkling wines (especially the orange spritz one). So was the atmosphere and the beautiful landscapes of the estate. Highly recommend
