1 /5 Jecinn Wong: I purchased two pairs of earrings three weeks ago and have had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience with both.
One pair had dangerously sharp, unfinished edges that caused my ear to bleed. Instead of acknowledging the severity of the defect and offering an immediate refund, I was forced into repeated, exhausting negotiations. I was told that their policy prohibits refunds for worn items — yet no written statement or documentation of this policy was provided, nor is it clearly stated on the invoice. I had to speak with three different staff members in-store. One salesperson and a manager insisted a refund was not possible, while another manager ultimately approved it. The inconsistency and ambiguity of their refund policy is unacceptable and left me feeling confused and dismissed.
The second pair was no better — the backing was so loose that the stud kept falling out of my piercing, almost daily. I was worried that I would eventually lose this pair, and unsurprisingly, that’s exactly what happened. The earring pair is now lost, and I’m left with nothing for the $375 I spent.
Spending that amount of money for products that didn’t even last three weeks is absolutely unacceptable. While I do appreciate the polite and apologetic attitude of one of the sales staff, it does not make up for the poor craftsmanship, lack of accountability, and evident failure in quality control.
I will not be returning to this store and strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing from here. The one star is solely for the salesperson who treated me respectfully — otherwise, this experience deserves no stars at all.
