Dina Sadvakassova St Kilda F45 has been a game-changer for me. Initially, with a weak knee, I started at a gentle pace, but the support from the trainers, especially Stu, made a huge difference. He introduced me to modified exercises that eased me into the workouts. I committed to a 21-day trial and found myself enjoying the process. Now, three months into my subscription, Im feeling stronger and more energetic, working out four days a week and loving every minute. The coaches—Fi, Debbie, Maddie, Daniel, and Stu—are not only lovely but incredibly supportive. If youre considering joining F45, I highly recommend it. Its absolutely worth it.

Lisa Ball Having taught at many yoga studios around Melbourne for the last 13 years, Grass Roots is one of my favourite studios to teach and practice at. It is incredibly authentic and down to earth, without any of the pretense sometimes found at studios. The teachers are of a very high calibre and welcome students of all levels and backgrounds. The environment is warm and inclusive and everyone is welcome just as they are. I’m so grateful to be part of such a wonderful yoga community!

Anna M After a long time drifting around using Class Pass trying to find the right fit for my exercise & well being needs, I finally found the most wonderful nurturing space & community at Grass Roots. The teachers are all delightful & the variety of different modalities on offer perfectly suit everything I’m looking for in a studio. It really is a one stop shop with yoga, Pilates & breathwork forming the standard offerings with the extra opportunity for sound baths, trainings, workshops and retreats as bonus additions. Cannot rate Grass Roots more highly, feels like I found my home!

April Croydon Perfect gym for both people starting their gym journey, and more experienced people. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, regardless of your experience or background. They are equipped with all the machines you need for a thorough workout and staff are more than willing to explain and take you through anything you need. 100% recommend if you’re looking for a place to train in a supportive, motivational, and welcoming environment.

Elyce Smith My partner and I have been training with Triston for over 2 years now and we could not recommend him enough! He has been the most compassionate, motivational and enthusiastic coach! He reads our energy well and adjusts our workouts on the fly to ensure we can maximise our time and obtain results - regardless of what kind of day/week/month we’ve had. He’s also been great at supporting me through personal/mental obstacles and demonstrates a genuine concern for my overall health. The gym is tidy and well looked after! And the other coaches are incredibly friendly, always making sure you are comfortable and smiling! A great space with great people - just avoid complaining about your forearms!

Hagop Kojadelian Best gym experience Ive had (and still having!) The guys at CFSTK are incredible. What usually puts me off joining gyms like this is feeling overwhelmed. Not here! Lockie, Dave and Conner have helped me get into shape and provide scaled alternatives to every class so I, and others at my level, can keep training. This gym is 110% inclusive for everyone of all skills, and if youre looking for a gym in St Kilda or its surrounds, I cannot recommend it enough.

The studio is absolutely spotless, with a really welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to show up and push yourself. Kate Whillas After spending most of my Melbourne life in opposition to my circadian rhythm, I finally had the pleasure of attending Eliza’s feelgoodflows sunrise classes this year — and what a beautiful ritual it became. As a long-time friend but first-time student, I was a little apprehensive to attend. I’ve never really been a “yoga type” and usually practice alone, especially since an ankle operation affected my balance. But Eliza, her classes, and the community she’s built are so warm and inclusive that any self-consciousness or hesitation was left at the door. Eliza has a beautiful teaching style that makes you feel both relaxed and challenged — the perfect balance of ass-kicking and zen. Every class is crafted with intention: from the music to the sequences to the words she weaves into her meditation. Even though the room is always full, she has a way of making you feel seen. Thank you, Eliza, will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Jessica Kavanagh Move365 in St Kilda is a solid option for general fitness enthusiasts. The gym is clean and nice with “cool-vibes” environment. I was impressed very the range of functional equipment, all brand new and solid. Went at 7am on a Thursday and I was the only person, easy to access via the app which is always a plus. However, for weightlifters or those focused on strength training, the lack of squat racks is a noticeable downside. While there are alternatives like Smith machines and free weights, big shame about not having squat racks.

Neha Sandher Sarah Minton at the Move Studio is a very dedicated and knowledgeable trainer with real eye for right technique. I started training with Sarah after having several medical issues and her personal training style changed my life. No problem is too big for her to work around and tailor the programme to individual needs. Additionally keeping the number of members small in a class leads to lot of attention and focus from her to ensure her clients follow correct techniques. I highly recommend her to anyone starting their fitness journey or working through medical conditions while maintaining theirs goals.

Mega Galak I have been with The Move Studio for just over a year now. When I first joined, I was struggling with a frozen shoulder. Sarah has been amazing in supporting me, and now my shoulder is so much better—without needing an injection! My main goal when I joined was simply to be stronger, healthier, and able to move more easily—and I’ve definitely achieved that. The Move Studio has such a wonderful culture too. All the members are so lovely and welcoming; it really feels like being part of a family. Plus, every class is fun, which makes the whole journey even better!
