emi wong I was in the Hurstville store yesterday. Approximately 4:09pm. I was waiting outside for my son. While waiting I saw a beautiful butterfly charm on sale for only $99. I went inside to have a look. I wasn’t greeted immediately but in good time. I was shown the charm. After looking I thanked the sales assistant and stated I don’t like it. Her face just turned and said not even a word like I was invisible. Goldmark: the correct way to acknowledge the customer is by saying “that’s alright! Have a look and let me know if I can show you something else.” I may not be your customer today. But one thing for sure I won’t be going in any of your store from now on..

Samantha L. On behalf of my father who does not have a Google account: Goldmark Hurstville 9/1/25 Worst Customer Service Ever!! Hurstville store. Took my granddaughter, 4 years old to this store to buy her a pair of earrings. She was so excited! Walking into the store, the Assistant Manager’s service was absolutely non-existent; doing her own thing and was not so welcoming, just because we bought a $25 earrings maybe that purchase might not meet her KPI. She wasn’t even paying attention to my granddaughter, re. asking what she likes, what she wants to see or talking to her. By the way there were no other customers in the store at the time we were there. Although she is only 4 years old, one day she might return to buy a pair of $2500 earrings in the future. A little acknowledgment would have been appreciated. She (Assistant Manager) has a bad attitude towards children and is not child friendly. When I asked her her name, she then only started to acknowledge the child, helping her with the earrings and started talking to her. Just imagine the type of experience this child had, so excited, walking into a shop with her grandparents and then being treated like this?! When we were about to leave, she offered my granddaughter a lollipop, what great gratitude, however, she was declined by a 4 year old customer. * Upon reading this, and other reviews, seems like this company will be missing out on many future customers.

Manjita Food I purchased a Citizen watch from Prouds Jewellery in December 2024. Recently, it stopped working due to a mechanical fault. I replaced the battery myself, but the watch still didn’t work, so I sent it in for repair on 26 June 2025 under warranty. After multiple follow-ups, I was informed today, 29 August 2025, that I would need to pay $160, despite the watch still being under warranty and the issue not caused by misuse. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of transparency and poor customer service. A mechanical fault in a warranty period should be repaired or replaced at no cost. I hope Prouds Jewellery improves their warranty service and treats customers fairly

Isaac Wadick I lost my wedding ring and bought a replacement band from here. A week later my wedding ring turned up. I went to return the band I bought for over $800 with the receipt and was told they would give me $400 back for it as that is the value of the gold when melted down. Firstly, this proves the incredible mark up they place on their products. Initially when I spoke to Alan (the owner) on the phone about returning the ring and getting my money back, he made an excuse related to the businesses accounting practices as to why they cant reimburse the full amount but told me to come in and we can have a chat. Then when I brought it to the store, a lady served me. Her excuse was "well we cant sell this ring to someone else because you have worn it." I wore it for a week, it was still in pristine condition (a quick polish and it would have looked perfect again). So two different excuses from two different people clearly means they are making it up as they go. I purchased my initial wedding band from them as well, so they had already made money from me and I was a returning customer - not that this counted for anything. I decided not to be completely ripped off, hence did not accept their offer for less than half of what I had bought the ring for a few weeks prior. Poor business ethics, customer service and very high mark ups on their products. Would definitely recommend finding another place to buy jewelry.
