Byron Gainger Over the past couple of years, I have had quite a bit of work done to remove my mercury fillings and restored with a few crowns. And today, after 60 years, I separated from my Wisdom Teeth permanently. As always, staff at Beacon Cove were very professional, courteous and reassuring. In the surgery, the procedure is explained and you are made to feel relaxed. I certainly recommend Beacon Cove Dental. You would be hard pressed to find a dentistry that meets their level of service.

Niki Grant Impressive practice. Very thorough exam, X-rays, photos and the most amazing clean! I have very sensitive bottom teeth and although it did hurt a little the dentist really did take the upmost care. Great result. The noise cancelling head phones with my choice of music was a nice touch. Definitely recommend.

judy sturrock I have been a customer of Bay Street Dental Group in Port Melbourne for many years! My dentist is Dr. Milton Herson and I find him to be very reassuring when ever I have any dental work done, he actually makes me seem not so anxious! The team at Bay Street are all lovely, Abbie is nearly always the dental nurse whenever I go, she also makes you feel very comfortable! All the girls there are extremely friendly.Sofie, Maxine and another couple of young ladies that I don’t know their names!

Caitlin Preston My experience here was upsetting and disappointing. Dr Newstadt didnt listen to me, cutting me off from explaining what my complaint with my tooth was multiple times saying "that [my explanation] wont be helpful", and that where I "perceive" the pain to be doesnt match where it looks like he thinks it should be. Also the only dentist to manage to cause me pain taking an x-ray (repeatedly stabbing me in the gum with the plate), and also the only dentist to then blame me for it, saying its my fault for the way I am holding my tongue. Consequently didnt understand or address my concern, and it went unaddressed until the dental assistant asked me what it was that I had been trying to say. One option was offered, which is fair enough if that is what makes sense, but when I said it probably wouldnt be feasible for me at this time due to cost I got a surly "well sorry". I left in tears. The staff at reception were nice, polite and helpful, but I wouldnt recommend the surgerys services on account of my experience.

Gunjan Manocha This was my first visit to the Bupa Dental Clinic in Port Melbourne, and the entire process was seamless from start to finish. The team is not only friendly and positive but also highly experienced in their respective fields. Despite living 45 minutes away, I would still choose this clinic over others.

Nik Papanikolaou It was my first time at BUPA Dental port Melbourne and I was really surprised. It was a totally different experience from any other dentists I had been to. From Seb on the front counter to Jamie (dental hygienist?) it was great. Every step along the way was fully explained (as opposed to dentists or other health professionals who lack communication skills and don’t take along with what’s happening. Jamie was great and provided lots of information about what’s happening and why!! And Dr Renata was fantastic too. Very professional and explained everything so well. I left knowing the plan for the future and I am actually looking forward to going back!!! Who can actually say that about their dentist? Then there was Seb on the way out. He was So patient and professional and took so much time answering my questions, some no doubt silly or repetitive he did not let that stop him being informative and helpful. Oh, and the facilities were all modern. A great experience which should be the standard for all but sadly isn’t . Ps I can’t believe I wrote all that about a dental clinic!

Joseph Lenehan Most unsatisfactory. I had an appointment at 0800 arrived at 0755 front doors locked , pressed the buzzer no verbal response from staff, another pt said they may have unlocked the door, I tried and yes they had- poor customer service . I have a mobility impairment - requiring the lift to the next floor above, i could Not gain access to the lift initially, after repeatedly pressing the call button gained access. Then once in the lift, doors closed and the lift would not elevate after the floor required was requested. I had to press the open door buttons to get out . I called up to reception no reply, I struggled then to climb the flight of stairs gripping the single hand rail to be greeting by two people having a lovely chat and giggling behind the counter . If it was not for my dentist Bilal I would not be returning . In fact I’m looking at alternatives for both myself and my husband whom is a pt there also. So very disappointing, what happened to respect and customer focused best practice?

I came to him with a set of less than perfect teeth as a result of poor care , neglect and unfortunately a victim of the pre fluoride era. He has looked after my dental health for all that period and when i decided that it was time to cosmetically improve their appearance and prepare for my next stage in life Michael presented me with a total mouth solution which he meticulously executed. It involved pre treatment orthodontics to correct my teeth ,gum-lifting ,top and lower impressions and cosmetic crown work through a system know as Digital Smile Design the result is very natural and complimentary and I can finally smile with out feeling conscious of what they may look like. Michael is a true artist in his own right.

mordecai masange I am very happy to have Dr Michael Kotsifakis and his team from Studfield dental group (SDG) and Port Melbourne Dental (PMD) do my cosmetic dental work. After many years of being dissatisfied with my smile I can finally show off my smile with confidence both at my work and social life. I have had many consultations and quotations regarding my cosmetic needs with my teeth but none were anywhere near the detail and information given by Dr Michael and his team. They provided me the set up of my teeth prior to commencing the work so I was able see the end results in my mouth prior to commencing treatment. The end results are brilliant! As for the price , it is unbelievably competitive and way cheaper than any of the quotes I received from other clinics. I did 12 units of crowns/veneers for what others were going to provide only 6 units for the same money. I have had so many compliments with my teeth and people asking me where I got them done. Well done to Dr Kotsifakis and his team at SDG and PMD.

Poppy Blop I have received orthodontic treatment from this clinic from end of 2016 to May 2019 I will begin by saying that this clinic is exceptionally clean and new. Staff are all very nice and friendly. However, below depicts some areas for improvement. --I have requested for the photos they took prior treatment, still havent gotten a reply. --I now have a gap in between my teeth. Food keeps getting stuck in between. I never had that problem prior treatment and my teeth were actually not too bad prior treatment. They took off my braces when they claim my treatment was finialised. --There were 4 changes of dentists or oral hygenists in the duration of treament. The inconsistency hinders with the result. (Where the first dentist had placed my brackets without measurements, causing the second dentists in that clinic needing to redo all of them, 2nd dentist also caimed theres no reason for the brackets to be misaligned and is actually bad to misalign) --Almost towards end of treatment, they post an extra charge of $400 for a new appliance they claim I would need. That cost was not mentioned anywhere by the first dentist or documents. The function of that appliance is the sole solution to my overbite problem, i.e the initial objective of why I want to get braces. Theres also some retraction of jaw after I took my braces of, to a point it feels like it is no different to before I got the braces. I am aware they do have a linked branching clinic SDG for which a few of their clients also complained about the many dentist changes during their treatment. I believe if they can solve the inconsistency problem, this clinic is not bad. Chris.K

Brian Borg I came in to Creative Dentistry about a year ago to have Dental Veneers done. When I went in I explained that I would also be needing several crowns done in a few months. During the first consultation the Dr was very easy going which gave me the impression that he would be great to work with and if there were any issues that he would address them properly without fuss... Boy was I wrong. When deciding on the shade of white on my Dental Veneers the Dr kept insisting that I not go too white as I wouldnt like it... I explained to him that when I got my crowns that they would be whiter than what he was insisting on.. He then went on to say that his work is guaranteed for 5 years and that if I wasnt happy with the work for any reason including the shade of white that he would replace them at NO COST I began having issues with the Dental Veneers within a couple of months one had a piece break off so I was asked to come in a have it replaced. At that visit I had told the Dr that I wasnt happy with the shade of white that it looked more like stained yellow rather than white and that while I was in that Id rather have all four teeth redone to a whiter lighter shade as he had promised that if I was not happy for any reason that he would redo the work at no cost... This is where he turned ugly. He said no I never said that and the only way that I will redo them is if you get some other work done and I will still have to charge you extra to redo the Dental Veneers but at a reduced cost... (not what he promised) So I had the teeth redone. The work was average at best. A few months later another one of the Dental Veneers chipped so I went in and had that replaced at no cost but in around 3 weeks it began to get brown and stain... I dont know if he used a cheaper material but for whatever reason it looks ugly and Im embarrassed to smile now.. To ad insult to injury another Dental Veneers had chipped and because of the awful experience that Ive had Im not going back there to have it replaced because his work is terrible... I emailed their office after speaking with the Australian dental association who suggested that I was due a refund kind of like a lemon law... Bad work over and over again. The email that I sent to Creative Dentistry was never responded to which frankly doesnt surprise me... My advice never use this dentist because hes nice only when you are spending money and awful when there is a problem. I only wish that I could post photos of his work to show you what Ive been through Brian Very unhappy client

Adam Lambert If you like the hard sell similar to a dodgy second hand car salesman, then go here. I was told during my check up that I required approx. 6 fillings as well as then going off on a tangent to talk about veneers for my front teeth, when I was only there for a check and clean. Something about his approach just seemed off so I went for a second opinion to find out that I required zero fillings in an otherwise healthy mouth! Do yourself and your wallet a favour, go elsewhere.
